Fantasy NBC's Grimm

Just finished watching the latest episode. I loved Monroe's proposal. That was very cute and very Monroe. I also am intrigued and perplexed by Julia's eagerness to be involved in Grimm matters, and the fact she's communicating with Mama Grimm. She's done a complete 180. Though, the best thing about this episode was the coat made of SCALPS!!!! That was some wicked ****! :woot:

On a side note, I was surprised by how much the Rosalie/Monroe storyline dominated. Not sure where this is going, but you know the TV gods will want Rosalie to die because Monroe asked her to marry him... I mean what else could happen? They certainly can't live happily ever after.

They are good at the finale notes. I don't know why it's a whole month when most of the shows are returning after the Olympics are over though.

Yeah, the final note on the screen was funny. This show seems to have more hiatuses than anything else on tv. It just came back on.

I wonder if Monroe's parents objected to Rosalee's particular kind of vessen or if they were against him marrying anything other than a bludbad...

The first hiatus didn't really seem like it was a hiatus per se. This felt like the official hiatus. I also love the little taglines they put in. So funny!

It sounded like a combination of both. There were several points in the episode where they highlighted how proud Monroe's family is to be bludbad, so I think they would want him to get married to a bludbad. Yet, I also got the impression from what his mother said that the pairing is inherently dangerous because of the predatory nature of bludbad.

They are old fashioned and meant to be seen as the equivalent of racist. They don't mind other Wesen I think but they don't like them to mix either. Especially not their son who is in their eyes, marrying beneath/outside his race.

It would be like a white man marrying a black woman in the 1950's or earlier. They were obviously shocked he wasn't marring another Blutbad.

Yeah it seems that way.

It's because of Nick's reaction & facial expressions. A normal person like Hank never goes WTF when they change in front of them. So Nick's reaction stands out like a sore thumb

I want the new ep to start off with Nick body slamming Monroe's mama!

I'm glad they didn't kill off the 'predator' wesen just yet. Since Nick is the ultimate warrior/tropy for him i hope the hunt builds up, before a really big face off.

Anyone else think that Adeline's baby is going to kill her during the birthing process? It seems that whatever she's been rubbing on her belly (why on earth she would trust that lady is beyond me) is giving the baby supernatural powers beyond her control.

I originally was going with both of those reasons for their impolite reactions . . . but then I was completely taken out of the moment when Monroe's mom shifted into some kind of haggish, troll-like Wesen.

I was doubly confused, because I figured the show had cast her as Monroe's mom based on her starring in The Howling and were going to have her reveal herself as a really malevolent Blutbad/Werewolf as a little wink to the audience.

So was she really a Blutbad or not? It didn't look like it to me, and that's why I was confused by her revulsion to a mixed marriage, since she was obviously in one!

OK -- I just went back and looked at her again . . and I guess she IS a Blutbad after all.

I guess the absence of lots of facial hair and pointed ears, combined with that nose and chin, struck me as more like a troll than a werewolf.

I guess I was expecting more of the look that Monroe shows when he turns, but 'realistically' I guess females wouldn't look like that.

I think both of Monroe's parents are blubad. The mother looked similar to Angeline.

For some perspective here is Angelina.

I'm not really sure I understand what is going with Adeline and her baby. I'm not even sure what the lady is doing to her.

Glad this comes back tomorrow. All my shows are coming back. The DVR will be full...lol

New ep was cool. Those Wesen seemed really vicious, and were owning Nick and Monroe until his dad showed up.

I wonder if Adelin's baby is sort of like the anti-christ. Considering Monroe's dad spoke about the return of those 3 wesesn they just killed as being the beginning of something larger….

I was sort of disappointed that Nick didn't turn grey and surprise everyone by crushing the three bad guys, it would have fitted very well with that ongoing story line.

Decent ep, why were Rosalee and Momma Monroe sniffing each other? It was good seeing an ep from Monroe's perspective and I'm loving Juliette this season. :hrt:

^I think Monroe's mom asked Rosalie to complete some sort of wesen ritual, in which Rosalee agreed.

And yeah, it would have been cool if Nick had turned grey. This show has so many hiatus' that i start forgetting important past plot points like Nick being changed by the Baron….

Yeah, unfortunately all the breaks make it hard to remember what has happened. This was a good episode though. It would have been better if didn't come after such a long hiatus. On a good note, I have to admit Julia has grown on me. I'm glad they found a way to include her without making her an annoying prat. I'm still unsure about Adaline and her baby. I was surprised to hear Renard admit that he thinks its his. I'm not sure what sort of relationship they have, but it's a weird one.

I´m pretty sure that Renard's main motivation is to keep the child away from his rivals and that he doesn't really care about Adaline beyond that.

Wow.

Did not expect Wu's character to get screwed over like that.

I found it incredible that Nick and Hank wouldn't have told him the truth after him seeing that with his own eyes.

I agreed with Nick that they shouldn't tell him when it was possible for him to dismiss things as having a normal explanation but clearly they are past that point.

Obviously this is done so that the writers can create tension between Nick and Hank :whatever:

c'mon man!

I had my hopes up that Wu was joining the team. Then he gets a **** ending for his troubles. That wasn't right.

When he eventually joins the team I hope he decks Nick.

Wu was just imagining Nick and Hank in his room at the end but they need to tell him and pronto!

Good guess there. It's possible they weren't really there, or that they were but what Wu heard is not what they said (which was, it's all real, it did happen).
