Ronald D. Moore's 17th Precinct

NBC has burnt my bridge. Once Chuck and 30 Rock are axed, bye. Although it's nice they still have Days on in daytime. I honestly can remember why I dislike NBC so much...

Oh wait, the CONAN mess...and My own worst enemy got canned. And just for giggles, THE CAPE.

The plot sounds cool and with 3 BSG cast member in the cast so far, I'm definitely looking forward to this.

This sounds interesting and like of like The Dresden Files, which was a great show. I hope it is good.

Michael Rymer's going from Cylons to sorcery: the "Battlestar Galactica" producer-director gave ComingSoon.net the exclusive scoop on reteaming with "BSG" creator Ron Moore

I find it annoying that the article credits Ron Moore as the creator of BSG. The guy just took someone else's IP and retold it in an updated fashion. Don't get me wrong I loved the new series, and liked the old series but give credit where credit is due to Glen A. Larson (and George Lucas for his inspiration haha!).

Pilot Scoop! Kristin Kreuk Enters 17th Precinct
by Matt Webb Mitovich and Nellie Andreeva

Every couple of days or so, Ronald D. Moore’s 17th Precinct pilot for NBC seems to look even better and better. And the latest add to the supernatural-tinged drama’s cast is Smallville alumna Kristin Kreuk, TVLine has learned.

Kreuk will guest-star in the pilot as Susan Longstreet, the wife of Jamie Bamber‘s crime scene expert. Should the Peacock pick up the series, the role has the potential to go recurring.

Set in the fictional town of Excelsior, where magic and supernatural elements rule over science, 17th Precinct revolves around the lawmen at the local cop shop. In addition to Bamber, the cast features two other Battlestar Galactica regulars: James Callis (playing a homicide detective) and Tricia Helfer (as Morgana the necromancer aka the magical equivalent of a coroner).

Precinct boss Moore, of course, executive-produced Battlestar (as well as its single-season spin-off, Caprica).

The 17th Precinct cast also includes Stockard Channing (The West Wing) and Matt Long (Jack & Bobby).

Since wrapping her Smallville run (as Lana Lang), Kreuk has fronted the big screen’s Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, costarred in the miniseries Ben Hur, and positively sparkled during a multi-episode run on Chuck.

I'm sure some will ***** about it, but she's good when the writing is good. She was fine on Chuck.

I guess they couldn't lure Grace Park away from Hawaii, lol.

Seriously, Kristin is a decent actress, and fits in well with the cast announced so far. Based on the cast and Ronald D. Moore's name alone I'd totally watch this show, even if it was only about a crack team of forensic accountants.

I dont think I'd be able to reconcile seeing Grace and Bamber making out after four years of BSG. I'd just be like "You cheating *****... does Helo know about this?!"

Hey, the #8's got around a lot.

There's only one Eight that matters. And her name is Sharon Agathon. :o:up:

Meh, they all looked alike to me. :p

And it's not racist for me to say that, as I have a Cylon grandparent.

:awesome:

Yeah that pic made me squeal like a girl! It was so epicly :awesome:! So very stoked!

Ok this sounds great but I bet its gonna go WAAAY over the GA's heads. That being said, be nice to see some Lost or Heroes alums pop up as well

I hope not, mixing police drama and magic sounds risky but I think Ron Moore will find a good balance between the two and make it work, just enough not to turn off the GA.

The only Heroes alums I'd ever care to see again are Jack Coleman and Adrian Pasdar. All the others can stay far away.

And aw, that picture! :hrt:

That's a really awesome photo.

Though Tricia and Jaime look less than enthused to be in it. :/

Adrian Pasdar is awesome, shame what they did to Nathan.

Cool picture. Tricia looks less sexy than BSG, but more mysterious, which fits the tone of the show perfectly.

Yeah, I'm not sure I like that wig on her. I prefer her natural hair that she had as Natalie and Gina.

Agreed but screw Pasdar. Milo, Coleman and Quinto proved time and time again that they got the acting chops. Same with James Kyson Lee. As for Lost alum, how awesome would it be seeing Holloway or Emerson alongside these BSG alum? I'm just saying, be nice to here bout some of em getting some work on something that has the potential to be great. Can you imagine Henry Ian Cusick and James Callis on screen at the same time???? I'd get nose bleeds and visions of sexy vivacious angels simultaneously, then I'd commence the motorboating haha

Let's... not go overboard.
