Fantasy NBC's Grimm

Funny how that adalin is depicted as a caring mom now but at first she was willing to give her baby away for powers.

Having a baby changes you. Some more than others.

True, i still say the show ends up with Nick and Julia ending up raising the baby. I hope that's not this case…but then again, it will give Julia something to do other that trying to act Grimm-like all the time.:D

Rosalee and Monroes relationship is changing , so i suspect that something happens to Nick and Julia's relationship..and that something is a new baby. The fact that he was about to propose to her hints that the show is trying to bring more of a family element to his lifestyle; this will add an additional sense of risk to what he does.

Plus, can we get back to the 'Grey-Nick' storyline...

I had a feeling the baby was gonna end up leaving with Momma Grimm as there was clearly a connection there, but I didn't expect Nick and Renard to go about it the way they did, it was a good plan but Adiland is now going to be a huge enemy.

Not on next week but take a look at the promo for the ep on the 25th, very interesting looking developments for the mythology.

I wonder....
Could Adliand's daughter have somehow grown to an adult super fast due to her powers?

I doubt

Adalin's daughter would grow up that fast. However who knows with this show it depends how long Mother Grimm and Diana I think that's the name Adaline gave her have been away

Wow yeah...totally surprised Renard did that. I really wasn't expecting them to go that direction considering the power of the baby. I figured he'd be willing to sacrifice everyone to keep that kind of power.

I think he realized that for the baby's protection and future as well as his own it was his best option to go with. I'm not sure he's power-hungry enough to try to directly take on the Royals this early. He might have a longer term goal in mind.

If he really is trying to make a power play, I can seem him being patient with it, letting his kid grow up to become a very powerful Hexanbiest and then going after the Royals, assuming they're still around by then.

Good ep..very emotional. I actually felt sorry for Adalind and forgot how evil she was in the previous season..

Now that she knows who killed her mom, and that Renard and co have hidden her baby, she'll be back to her old revengeful ways again..and this time, with good reason….

By the way, the scene where Hank thought the baby might be his was lol!:D

This was a great episode! I too felt bad for Adalind. I also love Mary Staurt Masterantonio. She's great as Nick's mom.

Now I wonder who is going to raise the baby?

Not sure what to make of the new female Grimm, she's certainly interesting casting, I actually thought it was a boy at first. Not sure how I feel about Nick taking on a Padawan but I am interested to know where she came from as it could reveal more of the Grimm's lineage.

I like the fact that they've introduced another Grim and it's an interesting angle that she never knew she was one, and assumed she was crazy seeing all the wesen's forms; that being said, i really hope she turns out to be a likable character and not as annoying as some 'side-kicks/proteges' to the main hero, as seen in a lot of tv shows.

I was actually thinking that she may end up finding out she's his half sister or something, seeing as how they both have dark hair and she showed up right after his mom left….

Very curious to find out what Adalind is up to……

Also, interesting that Grimm's can't see each other (the black eyes)…...

They must have some way of identifying one another we haven't been clued in on yet. Nick is more trained than Theresa is but he's not trained like his mother or aunt were either.

She is in a lot of ways what Nick was at the beginning, only her eyes were opened sooner, and she's lived this way longer without the aid of a trailer full of information and someone to give her a heads up.

Where goes long term will be interesting. I don't see her sticking around long term. We already have one Grimm with Nick, how will she being around improve the story without trivializing the threats he encounters? I could see her being apprenticed to someone, but then why wasn't Nick? She could be somehow kidnapped or tricked into working for the Royals (bet they'd love a "pet" Grimm), but they haven't tried that with Nick either. Killing her seems like it would be pointless. "Here's a new Grimm. Oops, now she's dead. Let's move on."

They must have a plotted out story for her they feel is solid or else this could turn into a mistake.

Whatever she dropped (looked like a key chain of some kind) that Nick has, could play into who she is. Like i said before, i wouldn't be surprised if she turns out to be related to him.

She also reminds me of Sky from Arrow.

Momma Grimm.

I guess you're right. It just seems strange she would be the one chosen to raise the child. They made it seem like the kid needs to be with the equivalent of Mary and Joseph, so she can be 'The One'.

I LOVED it and I really like the new Grimm. I also hope we hear more about Grimms.

I like seeing training. For me it is a way to show the teacher's growth and development. I'd like to see what sort of teacher Nick would be, so I say bring on the Padawan.

You mean Sin? Yes, she looks like a taller version of Bex Taylor-Klaus.

She'll probably live in relative seclusion with Momma Grimm and thus be away from any of the worlds temptations, plus it seemed like she was looking at the kid as a second chance after Nick.

I agree that it can be a great narrative tool if the dynamic is good, I guess I need to see more of her and Nick in tandem before I know if I like it or not.

It was a chess piece. A black knight.

Dun dun dun! :cwink:

Seriously though, I have a feeling that this will have some kind of importance. Especially since a Grimm's trademark is their black eyes (when recognized by Wesen).

That's at least the second or third time I've seen that reference. I thought the same thing myself but the actress (Jacqueline Toboni) playing Theresa (aka baby Grimm) is so new to acting that IMDB didn't even have a page for her initially. They do now but it's blank. It just lists "Grimm" for her credits but her actual page is blank.

I like the the idea of nick training another grimm

Adalind...just cant be trusted

Well from the previews it looks like it's going to be a rocky relationship. I'll be curious to see how Nick handles a more violent prone Grimm.

Also what's up with 'Gray Nick'? Did that little talent just disappear? If it is one complaint I have with this show it's that they seem to let things drop as if they are forgotten. It's weird and not good story telling.

For a series that is otherwise pretty good with keeping itself on track and with continuity, the whole grey/super Grimm Nick thing seemingly dropped is strange.

I LOVE the fact Nick is taking on the role of mentor. And it's good timing too. I feel that Nick has really gotten a solid handle on being a Grimm. And now training someone who is more aggressive and off the rails than him will lead to some really interesting character growth all around.

Been wondering about that myself. It seemed like such an interesting plot line but then it just completely disappeared for no reason after a lot of built up.

I hope that it shows up again and turns out to be what thwarts Adalind's attack on Nick.
