NBC's ''The Blacklist''

Spader was on Kelly and Michael promoting the Avengers. The woman interviewing asked if he was Liz's father and he said they would have to end the show if they revealed their connection so it sounds like they will drag the mystery out right out to the end of the show possibly.

I think they could reveal Red's connection to Liz and people would still watch. There are all sorts of implications and mysteries that could spin out such a revelation that would keep audiences watching.

I agree that the reveal wouldn't kill the show. If anything dragging it out is hurting it. :(

I can't think of a single scenario that would effectively end the Red/Liz dynamic. She already knows Red put her adopted father out of his misery. She already knows that Red hired Tom to be in her life. She pretty much believes Red had her parents killed and still hangs out w/ him. What reveal could possibly end the show?

It's gonna take more than remembering she likes crispy bacon to get Liz back but nice start To....errrr Jacob. :D

Last weeks ep was really good and the twist looks like it sets up a potentially fresh approach for season 3 with Liz on the run as suspected Russian traitor!

I hope they aren't conning us with the promo for the finale and Liz really has remembered everything from that night.

A season 3 arc with Liz on the run would be great, I think her character works best when she is out of her comfort zone and going all ''Jack Bauer'' mode.

Oh they are totally conning us with that promo, that's gonna be the final scene before the show cuts to black.

Without a doubt, I think Liz as a fugitive running from the US, the Russians and the Cabal would be pretty great and give the show a fresh spin.

Dammit! :argh:.....You're probably right. :(

They actually followed through! :wow: Bold move to push Liz in this direction, she's full on Richard Kimble now, she understands why Red didn't want her knowing the full truth and Ressler is hunting her. They have set season 3 up to be really fresh and exciting!

Despite Tom sailing off I imagine he'll be showing back up to help Liz and Red next season, and it will be interesting to see how the Cabal reacts to being publicly outed, even if nothing sticks the awareness and interest in them goes against the whole purpose of how they operate.

I hardly doubt that Liz will be on the run for more than a few episode....probably the first three at least....Ressiler is going after her because he doesn't have a choice but he side with her eventually

Reddington outing the Cabal was a bold move.

Liz on the run looks interesting.

Red outing the Cabal by using those journalist reminds me of how Edward Snowden chose to use the media in the same manner to expose government surveillance.

I'm sure that's not a coincidence. :p

I couldnt help but roll my eyes and laugh when Ressler told Masha/Liz that he would be going after her, I mean this was probably one of the most inept FBI agents during the past 2 seasons.

lol, yeah Ressler is a good gun/muscle to have around but being a detective or problem solving, or anything to do w/ thought is beyond his character. But I'm sure next season he'll be written like this brilliant tactician who can figure out Red/Liz's movements.

I just finished working my way through both seasons. After seeing Age of Ultron I was in the mood for more Spader. I had watched the first episode of The Blacklist quite some time ago, but never pursued it. People had told me "it gets better" which doesn't usually sell me on anything, but in this case my love for James Spader eclipsed the "it gets better" excuse.

Some of the exposition is a little in your face and Cooper, especially early on, comes off as a real moron because he's the guy everyone ends up explaining stuff to. The CGI explosions, especially in season one, are pretty terrible. Keen gets kidnapped way too often, but maybe I noticed that more because I watched it all back-to-back.

That said, it's a really excellent show. Keen is a great character, as are the rest of the cast. The over-arcing conspiracy storyline is really what makes the show though, a good few steps above your average procedural drama. Spader, of course, is outstanding as Reddington.

Ressler has really grown on me. I loved his fight on the scaffolding in season 1, especially when he just dropped kicked one guy clean off. Not sure about the subplot with his drug addiction seeings as they seem to forget about it most of the time and other than a quick line in the last episode (or the one before it?) it doesn't seem to have much consequence.

I find the show ultimately is happy to avoid cliches which is really nice, and is constantly surprising. I can't see a happy ending for Reddington though, which is a little sad. Looking forward to season three!

Getting a comic series.

He should've been reading an Avengers comic featuring Ultron.

That looks interesting. And yeah he should be reading Avengers. Maybe a comment on how he always identifies more w/ the villains in the story.

Great promo, but not sure I can buy Liz as a blonde.

She looks great no matter what colour of hair.

Can't wait to see her and Red on the run together!

Looks good and I'm glad they are following through with Liz on the run, I hope they don't return to the status quo too quickly. The blond hair better be temporary though. :oldrazz:
