theres a newer airlines company called frontier airlines...their tickets are pretty damn cheap, i just got roundtrip from detroit to california for $250. check'em out...

Frontier is an excellent airline. I've flown with them several times and have always been impressed with their service. Southwest is another one that does pretty well, even if I HATE their open seating policy. You can usually find great online deals at www.southwest.com .
