Wait, so this whole scene wasn't in the U.S. release of the movie? Or was it just edited to hell?

All they showed was him turning on the switch to electrocute him an it looked weak. They show that damn clip in almost every tv spot for the movie to which makes it so misleading

I really hope there is a R rated directors cut of this movie. I know Fox made it PG 13 to get more seats in the theaters but i would love to see this movie in it's rawiest form.

It's made about 80 mill, which is good considering there wasn't this big marketing plan around it. Word of mouth is what got this movie the money it did...

It's also definitely going over 100 million. This weekend it only slipped 7% to 19 million, if it continues to have small drops it will get to 110+ million which is a great hit for Neeson.

Glad Neeson had a hit this late in his career as a lead. Have a lot of respect for the guy... not the best of his generation by any stretch of the imagination... but solid nonetheless... not happy that Fox is the studio getting the profits.

it made second at the box office this weekend!

this movie has really done awesome at the box office, especially when you consider the dvd was floating around for so long before it was even released in the US.

My GF just caught it on a flight over the weekend and loved it.

This was a damn snazzy film. It would have been better if it was unaltered here in the States, but still was enjoyable. It was worth the admission. There just is something about a simple, straight to the point, bare bones plot action film that makes my day. The problem is that so many action films use this formula but still end up horrible (always a few action movies a year not counting those Steven Seagal or Van Damme DTV films). Taken delivers.
