Neighbors starring Zac Efron and Seth Rogen

Oh and I loved the batman conversation between Rogen and Efron.

On an aside, how adorable is the baby in this film? When she almost wakes up in her crib and then goes back to sleep, my entire theater went "ah". So cute.

Just got back and really enjoyed this one. Rose Byrne was definitely on equal comedic footing with the funniest players in this, but then I've always thought she was one of the funnier elements of the comedies she's done. I agree it starts off a little rocky, but I also agree with Darth that looking back, it feels kinda intentional. That awkwardness and discomfort almost needed to be established first, lol.
Exactly. It is like the opening 10-15mins are the foundation the rest of the film is built on. When Rogen and Byrne's characters discuss how they are going to info their new neighbors that they need to "keep it down" and then how it actually plays out. It is almost cringe worthy, but it really is necessary imo.

I wonder if Batman ever hit a ceiling fan when attempting to subdue a criminal. :funny:

I feel like Dave Franco's Meet The Parents-era DeNiro impression is, like, 90% of why I want to see this movie.
That scene is great, and his impression is definitely a highlight.

Saw this last Friday, not as good as This Is The End but another good Rogen comedy, Dave Franco was great and Zac Efron really impressed with his comedic chops, Rogen and Byrne are the highlights though, both are great, 8/10.

I never realized much of a comedic actress Byrne is. Her next two roles are in comedies.

Finally got a chance to see this.

I thought it was really funny. Everybody given more than 2 lines had something funny to say or do. It's not as funny as I think some critics were hyping it up to be, but whatever. It's nice to see Rogen in funny movies again, there was a period between Green Hornet and This is the End where he seemed to take a back seat and wasnt doing much.

Will definetly be picking this one up when it comes out on Blu Ray

This was so awesome...

1. Rose
2. Batman jokes
3. A&F skit
4. Franco.
5. Everything Efron did...

Those 5 things murder any 'raunchy' comedy since Superbad.

PS; Lisa Kudrow.

I hate the first one. Sporadically funny but mean-spirited.

I can't see how you can hate the first one. Very sweet movie. God bless it.

The scenes with the baby were sweet. And it was nice that Rogen and Efron's characters were on good terms with each other. But everything else I could do without.

I will pay to see Rose Byrne play the character again. She made the first film.

When my wife and I watched this movie, having a 16 month old now, we both laughed hysterically because we still do that when our daughter moves and we're not ready for her to be up yet. :lmao:

Rose and Chloe? Well, they can have all my money now. :O

It was the same with my niece. The fear is real. :funny:

I wonder how Zac Efron plays into the sequel? Maybe Rogen's character gets advice from him on how to deal with the sorority?

I assume they are friends considering how the first film ended. Perhaps he is bored now, and decides he wants to get involved in the battle.

I think it was said that Efron aligns with Rogen and Byrne against the sorority, and possibly the other frat brothers aligning with them as well.

If I had to guess, I think the sorority president will be an ex-girlfriend whom Efron wants to get even with, hence his motivation to join Rogen.

Moretz I do believe will be in the sorority, but I don't think she'll be the president because A. her role wasn't revealed right away, and B. she's only 18 right now. So my guess is they're waiting to announce who's gonna play the president before they announce what Chloe's role is, which is probably the top dog pledge of the sorority.

I liked Neighbors, but I don't think it needed a sequel. (Not that I'm complaining.)
