This was really fun and gee the graphics were absolutely spectacular. It’ll be interesting to see what Pearl Studio does next

I watched this today. Strange film that really feels like a combination of traditional Disney and Pixar yet ends up being a poor imitation of both.

I actually liked this way more than anything Disney or Pixar has put out recently (COCO the possible exception).

Strong emotional storyline and beautiful imagination and art design in the moon sequences. Really appreciated, too, how steeped the movie is in Chinese culture and mythology. It felt unique and affecting. My kids already want to watch it a third time, they loved it.

Weak point is definitely the musical numbers, aside from maybe "Rocket to the Moon" and "Ultraluminary."

I liked this even though there were some issues story/script wise. The visuals are crazy beautiful. The musical numbers however were reminiscent of those animated films in the 90s that tried so hard to copy Disney’s style but just couldn’t.

I loved UltraLuminary! And Ken Jeong I think is perfect casting for that kind of Robin Williams esque wacky sidekick type role
