EXCLUSIVE: Hot off of his role on HBO’s Game Of Thrones, Pedro Pascal has been set to star opposite Wagner Moura on Netflix‘s drama series Narcos. Written by Chris Brancato and directed by Jose Padilha, Narcos is the true-life story of the growth and spread of cocaine drug cartels across the globe and attendant efforts of law enforcement to meet them head on in brutal, bloody conflict. It centers on notorious Colombian cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar (Moura) and Javier Pena (Pascal), a Mexican DEA agent sent to Colombia on a U.S. mission to capture and ultimately kill him. Produced by Gaumont and executive produced by Padilha and Eric Newman, Narcos will premiere on Netflix in 2015. Pascal, repped by Innovative and Untitled, just wrapped a major recurring role on HBO’s blockbuster fantasy series Game Of Thrones and also recently recurred on USA’s Graceland and CBS’ The Mentalist.

First episode was great the narrator give off a strong goodfella's vibe, and really sets up everything for the rest of the season.

I've seen the first two episodes. Pretty good so far.

Currently on the 4th episode, Wagner Moura has been fantastic in it.

Cool I'll probably watch it tomorrow

Ive watched the first two episodes. Its very good with some slight issues. The narration was a tad bit heavy in the pilot. Not as bad in episode 2 so thats good. Its not a bad narration and it reminds me of Martin Scorsese's films. Its just it felt like the pilot was mostly told through voice over. But not a deal breaker. Pablo is a scary dude and the actor is really great. In fact Ive enjoyed all the actors.

Episode 2 was sad.:( Gacha is a bastard.

Wagner Moura is the newest Brazilian actor to make a splash in North America.

Wagner Moura has a great on screen presence as Pablo.

Well I'm a fan and look forward to his future work.

Yeah, he makes Pablo intimidating without ever raising his voice. Not every actor can convey so much power so calmly and quietly. His scene on the bridge when we first meet him and he calmly let's the military guys know exactly who he is and what he knows and will do to their families completely hooked me. More than once his Pablo scared me, but at the same time I believed it when he was sad and pissed about Gacha killing the innocent dog. So his range is good too which is nice, and it gives Pablo nuance. I expect good things from this actor.

I'm halfway through the season. I'm expecting things to get crazy.

Just finished episode 5, **** just got real, Pablo doesn't mess around

Check out Elysium and Elite Squad, its amazing how much weight the guy loses and gains for each role, he is like a Brazilian Christian Bale

Holy ****, I had no idea that was him in Elysium! Yeah, hes put on some pounds, and gotten in character well. And thats a good comparison. I wish my weight would go up and down when I want it to. I cant put on weight to save my life.

I watched the first episode. I dug it.

I finished the first season. Really enjoyed it. I hope it reaches Netflix's viewing expectations.

didn't expect to see Prince Oberyn in this :ilv:
Love the actor playing Pablo he chews up scenery

too much narration so far I hope it not like that for the whole 10 episodes

I enjoyed most of it, but I thought it kinda fell flat towards the end, the best way Ive heard this show described as cross between a jazzed up Ken Burns documentary and a Scorsese film

Renewed for season 2

This is a show I think every Breaking Bad fan should check out. Great companion show in my view.

I'm still four episodes into season 1

I think the series was good but moving way too fast. Pretty much the show should be over by the next season given the pacing.

Yeah I actually thought it was a mini-series before hearing it was renewed for a 2nd season. Not sure how this can last much longer than 1 more season?
