Netflix's Never Have I Ever

Didn't see a thread made on this, but I just got done with it yesterday. While I definitely enjoyed it, there were several parts to it that came off very disappointing. If I get into it my opinions might even be controversial. Anyway for those who are interested, it's a high school comedy drama. I was hyped for the South Asian representation.

Just binged season 2. I absolutely adore this show. Devi and the rest of the cast are just delightful. I needed this after binging Squid Game (awesome show but I needed some lighter fare after that).

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is a superstar in the making. She’s so charismatic and funny.

Just finished this series. I might be the only one around here who still watches it but if you haven’t had a chance to check it out, I can’t recommend it enough. People have (rightfully) given Mindy Kaling a lot of **** for that Velma show but she knocked it out of the park with this series. Everyone had a great arc and it was a very satisfying conclusion. And I think the biggest credit goes to the actors; they’re a very talented group who I hope to see in a lot of things in the future. I see that Darren Barnet is in that Gran Turismo movie; I hope it’s a good role for him because he was great in this. And I can’t sing the praises for Maitreyi Ramakrishnan enough. She crushed it this season, especially in that finale. We need to get her in a Marvel movie or something.

My only complaint was how they completely sidelined Aneesa this season. I hope it was just scheduling conflicts; Megan Suri has been popping up in a lot of stuff lately. But it seemed like she was a key part of the group until this season, where she would just pop in sporadically and didn’t have any bearing on the plot. I hope there wasn’t some sort of falling out there. Anyway though; I will really miss this show.
