I really don't get how a single season of The Witcher can cost that much. It's never looked that good, especially compared to say Andor or Game of Thrones, if those are the high watermarks for biggest TV production values.
Comparatively, I've always thought Rings of Power looked awful and never as much as its supposedly huge price tag.
I mean how do they spend more AFTER losing their biggest star in Henry Cavill? Shouldn't that cause an automatic budget cut? Liam Hemsworth isn't even a B-Lister.
He reportedly got $400K per episode for the first season, so $3.2 million. Seems pretty reasonable for him coming off the DCEU and just had a huge role in Mission Impossible Fallout. I imagine he got pay increases for seasons 2 and 3, but not sure. I read in Parade that he got $8 million for Season 2, but I'm not sure if that's true.
