Where is that music from? I know I've heard it somewhere before but Im coming up with a blank.
 
seeing 'Requiem' in there I'm guessing it's the orchestral version of the "requiem for a Dream" Summer Overture.

First used and made famous in the Two Towers trailer.

I've got a 6 minute Concert Edit version I made back in October of 02 if anyone wants a link :)

I could swear I've heard it elsewhere too. Maybe im just remembering someone use it for a fan trailer or something. It just seems so familar even though I havent watch Requiem for a Dream in a while. Aw well its stuck in my head lol

It has, unfortunately, been overused in every fan trailer that's ever been cut together since 03, and just recently got used in the Da Vinci code trailer, ugh.

The original piece, by Clint Mansell and Kronos Quartet, has been used frequently itself--most notably in "One Hour Photo"

I know this is getting off topic with this discussion but I checked out Clint Mansells site about the music and it seems he is as surprised as other are that his theme keeps popping up in trailers and such. He finds it ironic that it is being used so much in trailers and yet they used a moby song for the Requiem trailer.

OK back to the topic at hand.

awesome. Thanks from me too. I had to force superman movie music in at the end because I had only a short clip of that overture to use and it ended before my movie clips did... woo hoo! this is great. time to re-edit.

Tobey is ok as Parker and not bad as Spidey.

Jackman is not bad as Wolverine in dramatic scenes and awesome in action.

Bale is good as Wayne and great as Batman.

Still think, Routh looks great as Kent and Superman.

I still think it is going to get $335m in good way, in bad about $310-315m.
 
the ones who know me know that i always said that the padding looks to obvious. it looks fake. and i always said that if it looks god in the movie than that it will be perfect.

well i know one thing: here i see hes right shoulder. and you know what? it looks very good. i doesnt look fake.:up:

i agree.

i am become like a little boy. i liked the globe pic. i liked a lot of pics of him in the suit. but damn in motion everything looks just 100 times better.

i wonder if i will like this movie better than batman begins. the style is very different.

Here is my honnest opinnion.. I think that fan made teaser is really good... But I roll my eyes when ever I see someone putting in that ****ty matrix stuff, it doesn't belong there, and it's an insult to the movie, cause it looks like crap.. also when you KNOW that it's footage from the matrix, it takes you COMPLETELY out of the superman "feel", when you first see absolutely beautiful shot footage from the movie, and all of the sudden this tottally discusting matrix footage comes in and RUINS it.. that's what it does, that's ALL it does... I'd say the case is the same with that other fan made one where all of the sudden someone puts in footage from the game... why doesn't that fit, oh I wonder why.. Stick to what we should all know works.. Ones we see footage that's from other movies (that make me puke) and stuff like that, it completely takes you out of the superman world, and that sucks.. and when that happens, the trailer has failed big time.. We just reseaved AWESOME footage of superman flying, so why on earth haven't you used that in this teaser, my friend??:( Dont ruin such a beautiful thing with the matrix..

Please dont kill me for saying so, cause I couldn't make such a fan made teaser even if I wanted to, so I think it's cool.. But please man, use ONLY footage from the actual movie:up: :)
 
No I understans exactly what you are saying, and I did try to incorperate the other flight footage however, the only spot I had for it was where i placed the matrix footage, and the only reason i left it in is because it flowed to the next shot better. He is turning to his left with the cape swirling and in the next shot, the close up, it is the reveal of Supes face and the cape is in a whirlwind motion to the left. So I left it for now. Even thugh I didnt want to.
 
wow you really don't like the matrix.... A Lot. Well I couldn't tell it was from those forgettable last two movies. I thought they were maybe test shots or something that he dug up somewhere on bluetights. (I don't keep up with every little thing). Still it worked together with the look of the film, I think. The truth is that what singer's doing is exactly what the matrix guys did, only better and hopefully not to be used in a strange movie that makes people not like the franchise anymore. Why not put the movie's better scenes to some actual good use... Golly, I had no idea those were from the matrix, the old noggin must be on the fritz...
 
the best flight scenes to date so far which are far better than the Matrix are from that newer version of Peter Pan... now THAT is damn flying, those shots were TERRIFIC
 
Superman will show Pan how how to really FLY.

My choice for best flying still goes to smallville's Kal-el's first flight. I've not seen anything that could top that until now.
 
I think the lesson SR learned from Matrix is full CGI shots of flying are good for very fast scenes where people won´t pick the details so much, but for a shot where you actually get to see the character green screen is better. I didn´t see anybody so far complain that Routh looks like a "doll".

As for Routh, like I said other times, it´s all in the performance. Whether he may have seemed too boyish or not in pics, you forget it when you see that intense heroic look on his face. That´s someone determined, focused, who knows what he´s doing, not some confused angsty kid.
 
Very nice, very short, but very nice!

One trivial question though.....It appears that in SR to emphasize speed his hair will be tossed about quite a bit in flight, so how does he maintain the spit curl evident in all the photos to date?:)
