New Blade Comic: Stinks!

[The Question]

That's kind of my problem with Blade. I want this character to work but he really is just a killer. Think about it: if all the vampires died, what would he do? He'd probably continue to kill. I think he should join Marvel universe(an Avengers maybe)and have him eliminate all vampires and give him direction like Black Panther did. Hudlin really wrote him well. Again the vampire only thing is getting old.

Actually, a while ago, Blade and Hannibal King found a part of the mystic book, the Darkhold, which told how to wipe out all vampires in the universe. Dr. Strange used this to create the Montesi formula, killing all vampires who had intentionally taken human life and simply curing the more peaceful ones. Afterwards, King and Blade became private detectives together. Of course, the formula's effect wasn't permanent and vampirism returned.

then you dont do something stupid like getting rid of all vampires. Having Blade join the Avengers is like having the Punisher join Power Pack. Blade should go after supernatural villains only and he shouldnt be a mainstream hero

Hes just as much hero as Punisher is.

Not really. If you don't understand say so instead of stupid comments. I meant what I said. The concept of a half vampire makes no sense in context of the MU...especially considering the Darkhold by Chton is what created them in the first place. in antiquity I believe they were called Varnaee or something like that. Thor battled an original vampire way back in the day. Excellent story. It involved a norse girl who was reminiscing through the centuries after she'd been 'turned.' (after begging for her life).

That issue was badass. Blade kept making smartass comments about Frank's career as a vigilante and frank kept shooting shooting him in the back every five minutes to get him to shut up.

Just read the Blade #2. Huge improvement. I'm going to hold on to the series for awhile but not going to put it on my permanent list yet. Issue #2 was leaps and bounds better than #1.

Blade #2 looked interesting. Anything with Doom is worth reading in my book. I wish I'd had enough money to pick it up.
