New Burger King Fries

They were giving these out for free yesterday. My coworkers and I went to try them out.

Big improvement over the previous ones.

Anyone else had a chance to try them out yet? What are your thoughts?

the old ones seemed to have a bad rap. i for one definitely didn't enjoy them. they had this really gross floury texture on them. the new ones are kinda thick and almost steak fry-ish. i think it's a big improvement over the old ones.

still not as good as mcdonalds but BK is making progress in my opinion.

I honestly preferred the old ones to McDonalds fries which are very overrated much like everything about McDonalds.

Burger King is my favorite burger place. (Well actually, I tend to go back and forth between Burger King and Checkers/Rallys.)

The old fries got a bad rap. If you get them freshly made, like at a busy hour like lunchtime or something, then they're really good. But if you get them at night or at a time when business is slow, the employees usually just stick some old fries in the microwave, and so they don't taste all that good.

Still, I want to try these.

I work at the ole' BK, I rarely have eaten the fries since I started working there (which has been a long, long time. At least I got a job, right?) But I'll agree there much better than the older fries.

I don't like them. I actually preferred the old fries. It's cool, though. If I go to BK, I usually just order two burgers and a cup of water. Ends up being cheaper or around the same price as a combo, sans fries. Win-win situation.

Haven't tried them yet, but I worked at Burger King in 97 when they changed to the most recent style. They did a free fry promotion with those as well. I hated that day.
