New costume for Batman? Yes or No?

Agreed. The level of modulation in his voice in this sequence too, I loved.

Speaking of the voice. I kind of want them to change it a little. Maybe it's just Ben's voice but it amplifies his breathing so much!

Yeah, fans weren't happy with [BLACKOUT]the horrible treatment of Leslie Thompkins, who had been transformed from a gentle pacifist into a cold-blooded child murderer in one fell swoop. So, it was later revealed that Spoiler's "death" was faked in an effort to give her a better life.[/BLACKOUT]

I actually liked that, as it added gravitas to the story to [BLACKOUT]have her become so fed up with all the collateral damage of Batman's crusade, to do something that was up to that point out of character for her - pull the plug in order to spare Stephanie from further suffering. It felt natural within the story to me, as pretty much entire second half of that arc when all hell broke loose and number of victims started to grow by the second, served as a build-up to that point. [/BLACKOUT]
With that being said, I can understand why would some fans be unhappy with this.

Once again, I hope you're right.

Heh, I hope so too. We'll see soon enough.

The only way I can accept [BLACKOUT]what Leslie did is to believe that she experienced a mild psychotic break, as her actions went against everything she stood for. I can understand wanting to keep Stephanie from further harm, but refusing to treat her (as a medical practitioner, no less) is, in itself, an act of harm. [/BLACKOUT]

That said, it certainly made for a dramatic end, complemented by Giuseppe Camuncoli's stunning artwork, to an already shocking story.

I was under the impression that we were getting some new footage today by way of a music video featuring Leto's Joker. Tomorrow perhaps.

True... I mean, I see it as a [BLACKOUT]mercy killing (especially since I took it that Stephanie would never fully recover when I first read it, so it was more or less justified in my eyes), but Leslie Thompkins certainly didn't seem like a type that would, not just approve of, but actually execute such practice. Anyway, no one explicitly said that she didn't suffer a psychotic breakdown, so there you go... :cwink:[/BLACKOUT]

Well, yeah, it was quite impactful. Entire arc was.

That was the word on the street (well, internet), indeed. Though last one ("Sucker for Pain" I believe the name is... I'm not into this type of music) was released somewhat later than expected, so I guess that this one will be a bit late as well. Anyway, this will be a third SS music video.

Affleck while a big guy, the suit is providing quite a bit of mass. He could look more slimmed down if they wanted. I mean we've seen him in his regular suits.

Now as to the oval. Okay honestly unless that oval has a gigantic neon light, it's really no more visible as a target then him bulky mass and fleshy chin. Great for snipers, but irrelevant in the average room.

Now that being said......Batman and Robin made a great compromise. Oval symbol but loose the yellow.

A quick manip, just to have an idea of what the suit could look like with the oval.

Nothing against your art per se, but... ugh. No thanks.

Ahah yes, there's no problem, it catch me off guard, but I don't take it personaly ^^
I love the oval because I've grew up with, but like said previously, I don't think it would fit the Batfleck.
But, I'd like to see what a little bit more saturation could do to the suit, like to the belt or just a bit of blue to the cowl, even if this could come from the light of the scene.

You really shouldn't, I've seen the rest of your work and it's very good. It's just the fact that I'm not fan of the oval, combined with such batsymbol simply not looking good on this costume.

Something about the yellow oval on that bulky of a Batman just doesn't fit...

Indeed. It looks less like a logo and more like a third nipple.

This guy would lose his mind though:

Yep, the oval isn't that good when big and with a bulky Batman, it seems lost on his chest. Plus, I love the bat on the chest in BvS.

So we know the tactical costume will have a knee and ark grace. I really can't wait to see that bad boy.

Wow, I guess the oval is your least favorite form... Ahaha

I don't hate the oval perse, I just think it looks inferior to a nice big black bat and looks silly 99% of the time when paired up with grey, the only time it didn't look silly to me was when it was on Burton's all black suit as it worked well there (and then it was improved upon in Batman Forever when it was upgraded to a beautiful gold instead of yellow). Also in real life the fact that it would be a hard object would severely limit mobility if it became too large so it would have to remain small (and not be yellow but gold/bronze as Batfleck has no yellow on him for it to match) and on such a big batman that would look awful similar to how in the manip the undersized emblem looks terrible, (but the art itself is fine).

The oval looks ridiculous. It stands out and anyone can spot that in the night.

The oval looks no more ridiculous than any other symbol. See: Superman, Green Lantern, The Flash, etc.

The symbol is going to stand out regardless. It's supposed to. It's not there to be hidden.

By your logic, then, Batman shouldn't wear black. Contrary to popular belief, it's actually not the best color for urban camouflage. He'd be better off wearing (dark) blue and gray.

Batman needs to be huge, he needs to look like a guy not to mess with because he obviously has no powers.

Batman needs to look powerful and intimidating, not necessarily "huge."

Next time they redesign the batsuit, don't oval it. The oval is dead. Bury it. Consider this mercy.

I prefer the big black bat rather than the oval, but I would be liying if I say I would not geek out if we got the oval in some sort of flashback showing Batfleck earlier years.

To the person that did the oval manip on Batfleck above, if you accept suggestions, I would make the oval slightly bigger (it gets to lost on bulky Batman) and instead of yellow, I would use gold, maybe the same kind of gold that Cavill has on his Superman chest emblem; also, to complete the retro / early years Batfleck look, I would suggest a dark blue hue to the cape and cowl ;)
