Haha yeah that was great. I just love how Campbell and the whole crew have gone full throttle on filming GL: they're not shying away from the mythology at all, and WB ought to be thanked for not thinking 'let's do GL without all the aliens'. And I really need to know the name of the first piece of music in the trailer: I heard in the Alien Blu-ray trailer as well, it's gorgeous.

This was an amazing trailer, I really hope this is as great as it can be but I am still a little skeptical. I've been fooled before with trailers (X3, SM3) into thinking it would be epic and being very disappointed. I really hope that's not the case here. I'm really hoping for the best.

Hopefully the WB learned their mistakes from Green Lantern with Superman. Had something like this been the first trailer there would have been huge buzz. The WB needs to do it right with Superman

i can't wait to see this, so much flying im really pumped, even saw some space flying. the intro is great explaining the glc. saw some more constructs. this and thor were my most anticipated movies. i can't wait.

thor is doin well, i really hope this does well too. we are so close to getting many more cosmic movies from marvel and dc. thor was sci fi fantasy, gl is sci fi. gonna be great couple of years coming up.

Yeah, this looks fantastic. I'm sure all the fans will go see it but I really hope the general audience takes to this as well. One thing I'm worried about is that a few people I've shown the newer stuff to still can't shake the bad vibe they got from the first trailer. I honestly didn't think the first trailer was that bad, aside from some of the shaky CGI (which has now been fixed). Hopefully the majority of people aren't as stubborn as my stupid friends, lol.

I still maintain that if GL is actually good that it will end up being the highest grossing comicbook movie of the year domestically and probably worldwide.

It's one of my limb predictions but I'm sticking by it unless I start seeing bad reviews.

Yes, this new sweet GL Trailer is playing with the huge release of Pirates 4, which is estimated to make about $90 Million this weekend. Great move by WB's to get this sucker out with Pirates 4.

I hope you're right! I know you said its one of your limb prediction, but you watch box office numbers pretty closely, so your prediction might be spot-on. I guess we'll see.

As far as the space scenes go, there is no other movie that looks like it this year. Now the run of the mill Superhero fullfilling his destiny stuff isn't exactly new but the space stuff is new or more unique than the other movies coming out this summer.

They don't make too many big budget space adventure films. Yes, like all CGI fests, it reminds me of a cartoon but that certainly didn't hurt Avatar at the boxoffice or with critics. (I know these effects are as good as in that film but only nerds complain about effects not being groundbreaking.)

The movie definately had a shaky start, the marketing campaign has been far from perfect and the movie might look too silly for all I know so I know it has things working against it that can kill it at the boxoffice. But unless it gets bad reviews I see it doing very well.

i've always supported this movie, and have really enjoyed the past two trailers, but i can guarantee you, this is ridiculous and will never happen.

you do know the dark knight is a comicbook movie, right? it won't even get close to those numbers.

Opening weekend: 80 to 90mil

Total 250 to 275mil.

Overseas/Not North America: 300 to 350mil

The prediction will change if the movie gets tepid reviews (or if I'm just not feeling the buzz), maybe not the opening weekend numbers but the overall total will.
