New Joe Fridays: Week 44

You can't really fault Tony for that. Spider-Man, Thor, and many, many other heroes have kept their identities hidden from their teammates, on the Avengers and other teams. In fact, the need to respect members' wish to preserve their secret ID's became so pronounced that the Avengers developed a special identifier device that could scan members and confirm that they were who they said they were without revealing their identities.

Touche'. I'll admit the secret identity thing was a bit zealous on my part. I mean, once upon a time it was a staple of most solo hero's and I kind of liked the "professional curtesy" of other heroes respecting that. Even in an episode of SPIDER-FRIENDS, a team up with the X-Men shows it's age when Professor X has to dig into Spider-Man's mind but "promises not to discover your secret identity without permission". Fast forward to now, and especially after the maskless exploits of USM have become popular, and one Marvel hero after the other is being unmasked and the secret identity becoming more non-existant at Marvel.

Quesada really loves giving those open ended answers. I hate that. Just freakin' TELL US the god damned answer!

But it's good news that the Punisher MAX series won't be cancelled. Punisher MAX makes the MU Punisher look like a little fairy.

And the Venom miniseries sounds interesting. I wonder if Eddie Brock will be in the suit or if it will still be Mac Gargan. Hopefully Brock because ever since the suit has been on Gargan it's been an extremely tough borefest to get through.

I'm hoping it's Eddie, too. The next arc of Sensational Spider-Man is supposed to deal with Eddie, so hopefully he gets the symbiote back there.
