I was browsing Lee Bermejo's blog today when I noticed this:

Pretty awesome illustration, right? Apparently it's for his upcoming, and currently untitled original Batman graphic novel that he's also penning. I don't know any other details. But there are some hints about this under his bio in both the JOKER hardcover and LUTHOR hardcover, saying that he's currently writing and illustrating an original graphic novel for DC. Apparently it's been spoken about since JOKER came out, but I can't find any interviews or anything. Anyone have more info?

Consider me excited. He draws my favorite Batman. I just hope he can write.

Yes, I'm most definitely talking about the Batman project. Like I said, this is a pretty close representation of the style the book is being drawn in. As far as a black and white version, it would be awesome but something tells me when you see the colors you won't be let down. They really are turning out great.
