New Magneto clip!

I found the guy in the golden suit to be quite the suckup, and the rest of the anchors... well...they rarely talked, and I found they're laughing forced and faked.

I wonder what exactly Magneto needs Jean for. I understand that it'd be better for him if she was on his side vs. the X-Men, but if it's just brute power, he has that in spades. We're trippin' over Jean lifting up the house, but Magneto actually rips out the Golden Gate bridge. I guess I'm just wondering what is it that Jean has that Magneto can't very well do by himself.

Jean + Phoenix (even in the altered movieverse form) = more power than Magneto could dream of.

Yeah. But he seems to be using her as a weapon. I'm just curious as to what he means by that. Is it just destruction or is it something else? Because I imagine Magneto could accomplish that on his own. I'm just curious how the writers are gonna resolve that. I mean the expression of her power has to be more than lifting a house or blowing off steel doors. Magneto himself could do that.

Im curious when Jean turns away from the others...hmmm

i'm thinking maybe she knows wolverine is hiding there. or maybe she needs to go to the bathroom :p

I think she is kind of disgusted at the fact that Magneto is just using her. Her alter ego or new ego believes what Mags says is true but just doesn't admire him...who knows:)

that clip was awesome

hoping to have seen rogue there though

Does the speech remind anyone else of the opening speech in the Warriors?
I have to say though: Dear God, Ian is such an amazing actor, he can recite the lyrics to "Oops! I did it Again," and make it work.

And considering the hot tub photo of him and Alan Cumming, I'd say that's not entirely out of the question either...

Or maybe Jean gets Wolverine caught. ;)

and to make everyone crazier, Who's that pale, bald guy behind wolverine in the first photo. It almost looks like...MORPH! Not the cartoon one but rather the latest comic version ala The Exiles!

By the way, I believe our previously discussed mystery mutant to be Chamber.

The pale bald guy is actually a ashy black guy with a short hair cut.

i thought chamber has red hair?

No, he doesn't: it's more of an auburn colour, similiar to Gambit's, but a little lighter shade of blonde.

Hey! You all say Specs will geek out if he sees this. I happen to be a great fan of Chamber too!

My god - if Chamber is confirmed to be in this movie (even though I think he shouldn't be on the Brotherhood side, let alone actually opposing the cure considering his unique, self-deprecating stance on his, well, appearance for lack of a better word), well that'll be certainly a surprise!

no joke, they freaking SHOWED the Phoenix effects in the X2 spots.

But as is the norm in the marketing circles for the media, they like to put things out of context, you know.

There's a difference between showing those effects and seeing that Jean Grey was to become Phoenix, or undergoing a transformation. They did throw in a 'red herring' after all. I think most of us were pleasantly surprised by what eventuated.

i'm a bit worried. why are they showing so much of the movie? i mean i've heard of hyping up a movie but this is getting a little rediculous. it's kind of like they don't have confidence that the movie is good enough so they have to hype it up a lot.

That doesn't make for good logic, because it makes little sense.

It depends on the exposure it is receiving in your region, or geography, or has yet to receive.

How does hype directly correlate to lack of confidence...? It would have to be the other way around.

'Sides, if a film was as bad as they know themselves, but 'dress it up' with hype, people would have to learn a 'hard lesson' in the first week and the box office grosses would be inversely proportional to said hype anyway.

LOL atom antium.

anyhoo, that clip was phat, ian himself said he JUST filmed that, they ARE working down to the wire, and the line "we are the cure" sounded diferent then what we've been fed with the commercials and traielrs!

AWESOME!

Um, no he didn't 'just' film the scene. Just the ADR bit. Also known as 'looping' in post production.

this would have been the Rogue infiltrated in the brotherhood scene, or don't? whould have been very cool?

But it's a little weird the writers decided at first to send Rogue to the wood, being a younger member, and still not so active x-men and fighter, don't you think? would be nice to ask this to them, to know why the changed Rogue with Logan.

What is the dialogue, some some crappy reason I cqan see it but can't hear it.
