New Outsiders

On a few message boards such as the DC Comics ones and Newsarama, Wizard states that on issue 50 of the Outsiders, a new team will form with a completely new roster. Batman and Nightwing will be leading the team.

Who do you think will join?

I think Geo-Force will be on it considering that he is not the 11th member of the new Justice League and is just....there for some reason and Meltzer has been developing his new powers.

I also think that Katana and Metamorpho will remain on the team. Batman wants loyal soldiers in the new Outsiders team and Katana provides that role. Batman also wants powerful members and Geo-Force and Metamorpho provide that role.

I am wondering about Black Lightning, he's not like Geo-Force, he's an official member of the League. He has major history with Batman and Batman trusts him. And he's been a major character in the current Outsiders book. I'm wondering if he'll remain with the League or re-join the Outsiders.

I don't think that Batman is going to want former Rogue, Captain Boomerang on the team. Nor would he want to put up with Grace's crap. But I see him keeping Thunder out of respect for Black Lightning.

No link yet, most of the info right now is comming from people who have read Wizard and their interview with Winnick

I can't imagine Winnick dropping any of his character from his title. So Thunder/Grace are safe. It would also be stupid to get rid of Metamorpho. Both him and Katana provide a good link with the history of the team and don't show up in other books.

Which doesn't leave too much space for other characters unless Winnick is going to be going for a revolving roster with a lot of main players.

I really hope Grace and Captain Boomerang go.
You know I cannot think who Winnick would get to join, but I would like to see Atom Smasher, Martian Manhunter, and Cyborg join. They kind of to me "fit" as Atom Smasher is hero , but can be a little on the edge. Cyborg I could see as he kind of has that " outsider" feel as he felt a little differant than other people with his cybernetic parts.Cyborg needs to move up anyway. You know Jonn' has felt" alienated" at times in some stories so I could see him. Also, Geo-Force to rejoin.
By the way since Geo-Force will not be the 11th member of JLA, who will be?

Man- I really hope that is true! Cyborg needs to be in JLA. JLA or Outsider he needs to move up!

Y'know, I can totally see Winick shoe-horning Freddy Freeman (Shazam) onto the team. He tried to do it pre-OYL, too, and now this way he can continue messing with the Shazamverse long after he should have ever been allowed to.

as for Batman, I don't see him kicking out any of the newer Outsiders, but he'd probably tell them to follow his orders otherwise they're not allowed to be on the team...

The reason why I said Guggenheim's Flash is because that is good Bart Allen as the Flash. Bilson and DeMeo's Flash is crappy Bart Allen as the Flash.

1. The Justice League needs the Big 7. Considering that it already lacks the Flash, Aquaman, and the Martian Manhunter, lacking Batman would make it suck even more.

2. Geo-Force is not a member of the Justice League. He's just....there for some reason. The League is getting their 11th member in the JLA/JSA crossover. They have to be building up Geo-Force for a reason.

3. Geo-Force doesn't belong on the god damned Justice League. Batman does.
