New Owner of PS3 Slim

I bought one yesterday anyway I need help with Wireless internet connection
If any be kind to help me? Does my router need be in the same room? If there is a same thread about this then delete this.


P,S I'm not good enough to play games yet so I need to play my own first.

You might need to let your router acknowledge the PS3. Find the MAC address of your PS3, and enable the device on your router.
The MAC address can be found in System Settings > System Information.

No your router does not need to be in the same room. Do you have your wireless router set up on your PC? If you set up a password for that, you will need it for the PS3. Use the intstructions that came with the system. Its the best way to set it up

Woah wait a sec does the PS3 slim have wireless? Is this a new addition to the slim because I dont recall my PS3 ever having wireless.

Hey if it works, it works. Although sometimes I do get a weak signal due to the massive distance.
