In the Arkham Thread, some people said it would be kinda difficult to really do a good Superman game with all the abilities he possesses and I wonder why? I mean, there are several good to great games that have you play as a powerful being. So it's only logical that the same could be done with Superman as the main character.
When you do a Superman game, I think it should be clear from the start that you don't want to make another Arkham Asylum/City. In quality, yes, but the formula needs to be completely different. It needs to be clear that you are practically playing a god. So yes, while he does do petty stuff like stop bank robberies, that shouldn't be the focus at all of the game. Scratch random crimes immediately. Not even Batman had to deal with the stuff in Arkham Asylum. And it seems like he won't bother with that in Arkham City either, since the whole place is already filled with criminals.
The adventure should take place all over the globe. We need great locations that allow for collateral damage. Quicktime sequences like in God of War and amazing cutscenes like in Uncharted. The game must simply feel epic all around. It needs to be an entirely different beast and shouldn't be anything like the Batman games.
