New "Ultimate Spider-Man" Animated Series Coming to Disney XD For Fall 2011? - Part 3

I haven't bothered with this show but the inclusion of Spider-ham has my curiosity.

When I saw more about Iron Fist than what was usually shown, I thought they'd show more of him in this episode than what they did, shows me not to raise my hopes
Guest stars are explained when the main cast are usually just there, that is a con with this show

On a bright note, I like the magic tricks, and the reminder of The Final Chapter from Spider-Man comics (whatever you think of that story, Spider-Man supporting a building standing where a column fell is awesome, even better with people reactions)

Looks like they're saving origin stories for season 2...But out of all the other characters, Danny seems to have had the most development.

I agree with you but for my own tastes I often found "BATMAN: BRAVE AND THE BOLD" a bit corny. It's intentionally so, but obviously my interest in a show like that only lasted so long. I made it through the middle of the second season and just never felt the desire to catch up.

You've missed out alot. Ten bucks says SHH community would care more about your thoughts on Batman Brave and Bold than some Spider-Man cartoon we won't even talk about in a few years time.

Unlimited & MTV shows are brought up often, so there's no guarantee this one won't be mentioned or remain neglected

Ditto

Is it worse than what was the weakest Spidey show in your view?
I would say no. But since I don't have the time to watch it even if I recorded it, plus the fact that it's not a good Spider-Man show (IMO), I'm willing to give up on it. lol

Well today new episode just finished airing. First I did like the jurrernaut voice actor and fights in the episode with spidey. Also it was good seeing more out of luke and being buddy buddy with peter. That stuff worked well. It was loaded with the usual 4th wall cheese stuff. And awesome andriod was an interesting character. Some good fights there. Overall a bland but ok episode.

Just caught up with a few eps here in the UK...

Yeah, I'm done with this show. It's just not for me. I mean hey, I just turned 22... it's definitely NOT for me, but still.

It's the worst Spider-man show ever and for the kids who ARE watching it, I hope it improves.

Sure it isn't really meant for us older folks. But I don't see harm watching it/other stuff like it. Some times its fun to do that, or just take time out and have something to kill time with. Yes it has its problems but for me at least I said it before if they just stoped with 4th wall stuff it probably would be a bit more enjoyable.

Really? Worse then Spider-man Unlimited?

For me... yeah.

But then I was 10 when I seen that so that probably has alot to do with it.

Yeah, I was around that age too, but looking back on the concept of it...it just seemed like a horrible idea.

Though I haven't bothered to check this out. A part of me is still sore that SSM got canned. I do wish there were a way to get that show back on the air, it had SO much potential.

If ssm is on tv again it be just reruns of the show. Since sony retained the copyright on designs and all that plus with cast/crew on other stuff. We can just hope if usm does end after a second season that marvel will find the right balance of humor/wit/story we fans want.

I just don't like the fact that Jeph Loeb and Co. are all sitting in an office calculating what fans want.

Spider-man is Spider-man... get some good producers and run with it.

All shows have shaky starts but the creative intent is there and eventually grows. This is one of the most blantantly manufactured superhero shows I've seen in a long time.

I mean they are all made to get kids hooked and sell toys... but this is just too in your face.

Haha yeah the Spider-Mobile is too forced.

"calculating" and "manufactured"

those two words just spoke volumes about the "creatives" in charge and the show itself...

well said, Pfeiff...

Watched the newest episode...

Yeah, I think I'm ready to pack my bags and call it a night with this show.

So Luke is mad at Peter for forgetting about their Science Fair project, but Luke was apparently willing to wait till the last minute before doing any work of his own. And no one calls him out on it?

And Spidey keeps running into the Juggernaut and getting his ass handed to him, but never thinks to ask his super strong/invunerable TEAMmate for help?

I don't know which is dumber; that Peter "Great Responsibility" Parker actually considered cheating on a science project, that he thought to do so by stealing tech from S.H.E.I.L.D., or that Peter didn't think that his acting Principal, an undercover S.H.E.I.L.D. AGENT, wouldn't notice.

Oh, and if Nova is willing to pretty much dunk his head in liquid nitrogen, it's not stupidity, it's natural selection.

We've complained about the pointless gags in this show before, but if you're stopping the show to say that you could make a joke but won't, that's a new level of pointless.

I'll come back for the Goblin and Spider-Ham episodes, but unless Deadpool shows up to out meta Spider-Man, I'm done for now.

I said it before who's to say how much contrrorl/say loeb will have on future shows. He could be full control, he could be just the dude signing the checks/giving oks to producers. Never know what will happen down the road.

The 90s cartoon had a strong start, and lesser episodes followed it, not bad, but less of the quality given in the pilot

The 90s show also had low budget, and had to play with censors bs all the time.

Wish they had less detail in their art, makes for better animation and less stock footage
