It looks like after all the rumor-mongering and speculation, the bomb is in fact dropping on Xbox 360 Premium hopefuls: the game systems are shipping with HDMI. At least one lucky customer who purchased a Premium system at a Target in Atlanta is currently enjoying the spoils of Microsoft's not-so-secret addition, so hot out of tips and direct to your eyes, we present the first of many you'll be seeing with the much-discussed, built-in HDMI port (and obviously the cooler 65nm chips onboard). You can stop saving and start buying -- as long as your Xbox was built on or around July 4th, a date which will now be remembered for two reasons.

Haha wow, My new one (After the 3 red lights) was made in August of '06. I thought it would've been newer than that.. When did they start adding in the quiet disc drive? Cause this one isn't as loud as my old one.

Yesterday, Microsoft confirmed that the Xbox 360 Premium will start shipping with a HDMI port such as that seen on the Elite. Today, our friends of Xbox-Scene obtained pictures of the box of the new Xbox 360 Premium SKU

The 1st picture below (from one of the sides of the Xbox360 box) shows that the HDMI port is listed under the console specifications. So if you want to be sure your Premium 360 has the newly added HDMI port you now know what you have to look for.

Additionally, Xbox Scene found out that these "new" Premium still use the Elite motherboard and not the new one designed for the 65nm CPUs.

The 2nd pictures shows the sticker found on the other side of the box ... one word is very interesting here ... "Zephyr" ... which is the codename of the motherboard Microsoft used in the Elite SKU. This probably means that the new Premium consoles with HDMI port don't have the new Falcon motherboard yet (and thus probably not the new 65nm CPU/GPU either)..
