It's sad to see that it's taking a bit long for this film to get moving, but overall, I have a really positive feeling about this.

I thought he had already started training for this. :p Does that mean he'll have ended up training for this twice?

When narrows and I get to see our concerts this fall we'll let you know how he's looking. :awesome:

I am sure he looks fabulous even when he isn't actively training. :p

He does. I saw him chatting with the box office guys while I was waiting to get in to see his play on Broadway a few years ago...even then he looked good. :funny:

LOL, danoyse. :) Hey you weren't one of those folks who had to evacuate from the flooding I hope.

Yet more Donner BS-ing to try and make people think she cares for the characters!

I was evacuated twice, actually. :csad:

But it looks like I get to go home tonight...although it looks like we're flooded again.

Hehehehe - I'm going I think three times - hubby (premium seating hopefully), sister/cousin/aunt in regular seating, and a friend in regular seating. If they would just announce when tickets will go on sale.

We've been waiting for this movie to film for how long? Was Darren announced last fall/winter? Gosh, movie making can be so slow and anything can happen at the last minute. Hopefully like I said, more info will come out when he does his interview rounds for Real Steal and someone will ask him about it and why it was postponed. I did have the thought that besides giving more time for Japan to recover, Hugh really wants to do Les Miserables and this may have gotten in the way.

Sounds like we're about to get a concert announcement:

@RealHughJackmanHugh Jackman

Hey tweeters - I have something exciting to announce soon.... what could it be??

I'm 100% absolutely positive it's about his one-man concert and I bet premium seating is going to be very costly....

I just listened to a Podcast he did from London where he's promoting "Real Steel" and he mentioned he was going back there to do "Les Miserables" and then said he would do "Wolverine" after that probably.

Les Miserables is definitely happening before Wolverine.

Now, where's that announcement, already?! :argh:

So Summer 2013 release date? When does Les Mis shoot?

This means It could be fall 2012 till The Wolverine goes before the camers, and we
might even not have It out till summer 2014.

Watched Hugh on RAW yesterday. He's definitely in Prestige/Fountain shape which will be fitting for any non-Wolverine endeavor. Probably weighing in at 200 lbs. tops with the usual low body fat. One of the advantages of this production delay, is that he'll have time to get bigger. I want him at 240 for Wolverine, looking like a WWE wrestler/bodybuilder. He was perfect in Origins, but Aronofsky's right. He needs to be bigger. If they can start production in the fall of 2012 we'll get a summer 2013 release. It really only takes about 9 months to shoot & cut a studio picture. 2013 is gonna be a great year with Iron Man flying solo again, Cavill & Shannon redefining the Superman mythos, Thor back in Asgard & Jackman hopefully in his defining and final outing as The Wolverine. I'm stoked.

On The Jonathan Ross Show the other day promoting Real Steel, he mentioned his eating the 6000 calories when getting into shape and said "well I'm not doing that now" so that confirms he's at least stopped that eating portion. But he's going to be on stage on Broadway for 10 weeks doing his one-man show starting late October and then he goes right into rehearsal and filmng Les Miserables (principal photography in March) and we don't know when that ends, so I wonder if he will start bulking up during filming of that or wait until it's over.

If he's gonna reach that ideal 240-250 range, he'll need at least 6 months to train/diet. If they go into production October, hopefully he'll start April/May. The best example is Thomas Jane who began training for The Punisher at 165 at around 14% body fat and after 6 months ended up at 180 at 8%. So far there hasn't been another actor to put on as much real muscle for a role (40 lbs). You can gain bulk quickly, but it takes time to create lean muscle mass. Jane was training all throughout his Stander shoot prior to The Punisher. Aronofsky was right to get Jackman started on the diet long before the shoot. He's very tall so its even harder for him to put on weight. It'd be great if he could end up looking like The Rock did in Fast Five.

He might not get done with the musicall till may or june. And that could mean
a November start date depending on when It wraps and he can start training.

If filming starts In November 2012 The earliest they could release it Is august
2013.It usually takes up to 6 months to film a X-Man related film and it requires 4 months of editing and post production to get it In theatres. They might hold It till
november 2013 release. There won't be a Jamas bond film In November 2013.Harry Potter Is done, and aftr next summer twillight will be done. But right now all IS depending when Hugh finishes the musical and can start training.

Geez, I recall Hugh saying how hard it was for him to put on that kind of body mass. There is no need for him to be stupid about all this, I don't want him taking risks with his health because of unrealistic fan expectation. :(

Its not unrealistic & there are no real health risks. Dwayne Johnson at 260 lbs is 10 times healthier than Hugh Jackman at 200 lbs. Same goes for Randy Orton, John Cena, HHH, the list goes on. Having alot of muscle mass doesn't present a risk to a man's health. Prolongued steroid/anabolics use does that - and even that doesn't stop bodybuilders & wrestlers from looking like a million dollars at age 60. Putting on 40 lbs. of muscle in a matter of months isn't even that much of a big deal for a man in his physical prime. Again, Thomas Jane did it at 34 and the guy's athletic background was pretty much non-existent. Jackman actually loves the gym, so its even easier. Its just a matter of having enough time to eat & grow. I'm glad that Jackman went to The Rock for advice.
