News flash!

ROFL!
Nicholas Cage would get cast as Lex Luthor a million years before this Adam Harrisbears person gets the role.
He is probably a friend of someone associated with the site and they are just putting his name out there to garner some publicity for him.
I'd bet the house that whoever gets cast as Lex will be an instantly recognizable name actor, like Costner and Lane are.

In regards to Brainiac, I think he would be too fantastic for this first movie in which realism is what is being sought; that's the same reason that Favreau didn't use the Mandarin in his Iron Man movies.
Luthor in the battle suit and Bizarro are more likely..as is Metallo.

I don't think that Metallo story is true either because as mentioned, it lifts too directly from the SECRET ORIGIN plot.

I think Bizarro is also too much to explain for the first movie, and if we do see Luthor we will probably see him more grounded a character, not in his battle suit, if 'realism' is being sought.

Yeah, sorry for bringing Lindsay into the discussion again by posting that article. I didn't take that part seriously, but I did get excited that Lex was mentioned.

Guess Lindsay's team is trying to associate her with seriously auditioning for roles and that making news rather than...those other things she's been doing.

I think Superman needs someone to hit, someone to go mano a mano, tete a tete with; someone who can hit back.

I agree but I don't think it'll necessarily be by putting Luthor in a battlesuit or using Metallo.

Plus something like Bizarro is just as fantastical as something like Brainiac. (Not that they can avoid fantastical in a Superman movie.)

Well as for villains I think it would be great to have Zod in the first one, tying in with his heritage and birth place of Krypton would write it self. As well give Sueps a challenge, some one that is almost equal to him in strength and abilities. I think there you could finally have some amazing looking brawls with Supes. Then I would set up the sequel for Metallo, then in the third for a grand epic finale I would have Brainiac.

As for Lohan crap. I just find it so pathetic that that (thing) actually goes to this level. I just can't fathom this at all. WB from a business standpoint would never hire her, she has no appeal to any of the target audiance, she is un-insurable from the producers standpoint. And as well she is most likely going to jail in a month, so there is no way that anyone on the MOS team would be considering her.

It's just her and her mom's way to garner attention since they really have nothing to offer hollywood at all.

I've discovered the main villain from my own secret sources. Played by a cracked up Lohan maybe?

Maybe Zod is just introduced in the first movie, he doesn't have to be a main villain, but say, a new arrival on Earth, or a prisoner of a villain like Brainiac. (Then turns evil after smoking Lohan's crack.) I still think Brainiac is a possibility in the first movie (Edgar Ramirez could be up for that role.) Brainiac could provide the action/fight scenes. Zod could be built up in the story arc of the franchise.

I understand what 7heBoss is saying, though. You don't have to have kryptonite in the first movie. You can establish Superman as a powerful being that seems invulnerable, have him battle an equally string being, and save Metropolis. Then, in the follow-up, someone, be it Luthor or the military, discover kryptonite & realize that it has a negative effect on Superman & then exploit it, showing that he does, in fact, have a weakness.

I could get down with that...thanks Puck for that insight

Moviehole, and Supermanhomepage.com...

The claim is that Superman is seen as a threat by the military (lead by General Sam Lane), who are disturbed by his alien origins, his powers and his motives, and use remnants of his home world against him in the form of a Kryptonite powered super solider... Metallo.
Here is the alleged synopsis posted on MovieNewz.com...
 • In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone's imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question - Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as "Superman," not only to shine as the world's last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.
True or false? Time will tell. But for now we present it to you as just another rumor doing the rounds.
Thanks to Bob Marshall for the lead on this info.

Thats me :D I know I only sent Supermanhomepage a link but its so cool to see my name on the site :D

ahahahahahhaha

in other news, cher is ursa, charlie sheen is zod

Hopefully that report is false.

Wow.... hahaha! Come on fellas, no ones buying this asinine flimflam!

Found this on deadline just now. It's a bit vague but it talks about Viggo's deal with Snow White and a Spanish movie he is going to film:

The huntsman role was vacated by Viggo Mortensen. While some reports attributed his exit to money, I hear different. Mortensen was prepping to start the Spanish language film Todos tenemos un plan, and dropped out of Huntsman when a rewrite veered from what he had expected. He won't finish the Spanish-language film until mid-August, and Huntsman starts shooting a month later. Who said it's easy to juggle the pieces of tent poles?

The lohan news isn't new, but the miss teschmacher tidbit is. It is for me anyway...WTH?? teschmacher??
I doubt Lohan will be in it, but teschmacher?? again? thats more disturbing to me.

Since Snyder mentioned this his movie will act like no other Superman movies existed, then how can Miss Tessmacher be in the film? She is not from the comics so I wouldn't put too much stock into that report.

Same here :yay:

I'm betting that the Miss Tessmacher rumor is the result of some lazy investigating. Someone got wind that they were casting a second female lead and heard about the possibility that it would be Luthor's "sidekick" of sorts and just assumed that it would be the same role from the original movie. I'm not going to put too much stock into a rumor heard on Howard Stern.

So everyone assumes it is Miss Teschmacher because Howard Stern said that was the character? I would think that if Lex is in it and if there is a female to play alongside him, Mercy Graves is a much more likely character for Snyder to use. She is right up his alley.

If Mercy is in this alongside Lex, this will be a joyful occasion for Superman fans.
