Hi everyone,

I think it would be sweet to include a tribute to Ditko somehow. If it was doctor strange it would be nice if strange referred to a previous master called Ditko or something. No idea for Spider-Man though but he’s next up.

What do you think?

They absolutely should AND it would make up for the use of his name in the Raimi films. I don't think it was nice, no matter how far out a cat he was, to name Peter's money grubbing landlord after him. No matter how it's rationalized it seems like a cheap dig.

Chances are it'll just be a 'In Memory of Steve Ditko' either in the credits or perhaps some art of his showing in said credits. And pretty sure no one's thinking about the Ditko name usage in the Raimi films.

A "Created By" credit would be appropriate and true for what he did. Of course, "Stan Lee" deserves a "Created By" as well and it's appropriate and true to stick by that.

Steve Ditko's name was the stamp on the product as far he was concerned. Perhaps his name appearing on various tangible items like the costume and so forth will be a way of honoring him as the creator and support what he did. Maybe a picture frame at the end and beginning of the movie showing his contributions in memory with his name appearing on it as well as something to really signify what he brought forth overall as his input did go beyond that of an artist to really provide the notion of Spiderman into something solid and concrete that is the template from which writer's and artists derive their notions of the character today.

Vintage 1960's Peter Parker nobody really brought to life like Steve Ditko did:

They'll probably have an "in memory of" thing at the end of the movie. That being said, the way Ditko acted in his later years, it feels the best way to honor him is to remember that he was more than "the guy who created Spider-Man."

With Steve Ditko, I think the product speaks for itself irregardless of whatever else. Spiderman is an earlier creation of Steve Ditko's when he was younger that maintains hope, optimism, innocence, and the maintenance/development of moral integrity. I feel it is one of the best creations of his for that reason and perhaps really remembering his rendition of the character is the most fitting way of acknowledging this.
