World No making of Superman IV

This is Great!!!! a lot of dvds, and with material that thosen belong to the CHRISTOPHER REEVE movies , like the George Reeve and Superman Cartoons, and one of the thing that really would be great to see, is not there, so we dont have a making of Superman IV!!!! very well done gentlemen!!!!!

They should have searched for the missing Superman 4 footage and put it in, it would be like a donner cut for Superman 4 (exluding Donner, wll cuz he didnt direct it)

i HOPE TO BE ALIVE WEN THAT HAPPEN! because I think we lost a big oportunity here!!! and it seems than a lot of peole who only whant the treatrical cuts with a little better quality ( more of the same) and some few things more dont realize about the oportunity we lost here!! I hope to be wrong!

The making of Superman IV is like watching the making of Catwoman or Hudson Hawk. It would probably be very entertaining, like watching a disaster happen.

Just to see how much work and effort went in to making a complete turd would be pretty fun to see.

For a Chris Reeve fan, see him as superman is Great, no matters if is a making or a bad movie, I want to see everythig I can in those DVDS, but, instead of being able to see more good material, they give us a lot of the same we see and get and things that have nothing to do with a Chris Reeve collection!!

All the press releases say the dvds have Dolby Digital 5.1...ALL of them...but on the back of the dvd it says Dolby Digital Stereo, like the original SIV DVD

We don't even know if there was a making of special made to begin with. HBO wasn't doing their first looks at the time, and this was a Golum and Globus prodcution. They did take most of the money given to them for S4 and put it into other movies. There wasn't even enough money to shoot insert shots of Clark putting the green crystal into his jacket. The SPFX guys had to drive around and look for farms where the homeowners werent home and quickly run into their barn and steal a quick shot. So I don't even think there is any making of material to speak of except for that one entertainment tonight spot. I could be wrong though.

the 13 disc boxset includes a documentary about all four movies including superman 4.. there is a 14 disc set coming out in region 1.. just be patient.

The Making-Ofs for SUPERMAN I, II & III that are included on the new box set are all vintage 50 minute making-of specials, that were usually filmed at the premiere for each film. The Making of SUPERMAN II has Reeve talking about the making of the film while people are partying all around him in some club, while all these great Superman cardboard mobiles are dangling from the roof! The making of Part III is filmed partly at the White House, where they had a special charity premiere.

These three Making-Ofs seemed to have been produced by the Salkinds and Pierre Spengler as self-promos, so that may be why there is no vintage documentary on the QUEST FOR PEACE disc...although it does have a large selection of deleted scenes.

I have the making of S2 on this fan made RIC Donner cut of Superman 2, is it me or does Sarah Douglas look slightly unnatractive without the Ursa makeup?

Jimbo and I were watching the deleted scenes from Superman IV: The Quest for Peace yesterday and, holy s**t, some of the deleted scenes are just absolutely terrible! I mean seriously! The prototype Nuclear man footage is just so bad, I couldn't wait to see Mark Pillow's amazing performance again!

People think the theatrical version was bad? Thank God they cut that load of s**t out, cause believe me, it would've been a whole lot worse IMO!

No, trust me, you don't want it put in. I'm glad that I've got to see the extra scenes, because I got the Christopher Reeve Collection yesterday, but if people think that Superman IV was bad the way it is...well it would have been even worse with it.

No point. The Star Wars movies were restored and CGI-ed because they were re-released and made a huge amount of cash for Senator Lucas. Spending the money required to give Superman IV a make-over would still not sell enough DVDs to make it worthwhile.

I would like to see the deleted scenes to see how they was done. I wouldn't take anyone word on this unless I see for myself to see if it make the movie worst. As for The Making of Superman IV, there was on made and you can see part of it on Youtube or a few months ago you could but now I don't know. But it will NOT be on the the single disc Superman IV and it will NOT be part of the Ultimate Collection. I don't know why but there was one done for it and I have seen some of it. I guess they couldn't find it because they was trying so hard to find the deleted scenes.
