Game Informer has gone up with a 33-minute behind-the-scenes gameplay video of No Man’s Sky.
The video sees Hello Games co-founder Sean Murray demo an older version of the upcoming PlayStation 4 game, often using the debug camera and other tools that players won’t have access to when the game launches.
Watch the video below.

Can someone tell me what you do in this game? My best friend is annoyingly hyped about it, but he, nor any other piece of info I can find, can tell my what in the hell you do in the game. You can walk anyplace you want, or fly anyplace you want, but what do you do once you're there? What is the objective of the game?

Thanks Tanin. That's exactly what I've been wanting to know. I'm still very skeptical of the game. I think it's hugely ambitious, and I worry they'll miss their mark. Sounds good, but I don't know if they'll completely pull it off.

Yea im not sure on the game yet. I think a lot of the hype its getting comes from nothing more than the fact this is being done by a small team as indie games are all the rage with internet commentators.

I read it has online and offline play.

I think the hype has more to do with the tech they're using, the mathematical algorithm the developers wrote is capable of producing 18 quintillion (that's a lot) unique planets. On top of that there is the randomly generated alien life forms, and the player's ships are also 'procedurally generated'.

I'm pretty excited for it, to the point that if it turns out to be half as good as it's looking so far, I'd buy a PS4 to play it. I'd also be breaking my First Person game rule for the second time ever. But, all that said, I'm going to wait and see -the potential is there, but it needs to fill it.

so this is a timed exclusive, and will come out on xbone sometime
I just listened to the pod cast above you in full. when asked if this will come to the xbone he said he isn't allowed to talk about that at this time.

what you should take from that is, he didn't saiy no.

You can look at it that way. But I'll also wait till he can speak more a trully answer that. For now you can look at it that way though.

doesn't it make sense? if they weren't making an xbone port, why would they want or need to hide it?

I'm just waiting to for him to say what the full down low is that's all.

fair enough, but you have to admit it makes sense.

Here's a good video explaining some stuff. Rumor is August for release, I guess that's around the time I'll be buying a PS4!

Whenever someone uses the phrase "I'm not allowed to say anything" in regards to a question, usually it is the answer you think it is.
