No Way Home No Way Home Rumors, Leaks And Speculation Thread (Potential Spoilers Ahead)

TASM has some of the best CGI in these movies IMO. including the Lizard CGI. the texture on the Lizard is impressive. i imagine it will be motion capture for him

As for the Green Goblin, its possible they could go mo-cap with him. we do seem to be at that point effects-wise where studios just wanna show off what they can do. a real spider-man suit? why? just mo-cap him a suit!

Yeah, I still don't get the complaints on the Lizard's look when TASM is still visually the best Spider-Man movie. Far From Home came close to catch on.

EDIT: Yeah, I know there are more complaints about his design, but there are a number of complaints regarding the quality of CGI being called low.

I just hope the action sequences look less cartoony this time around. The Mysterio hallucination sequence was cool, but I was so annoyed that Spidey looked so cartoon/video game-y

Finally someone who agrees with me. The scenes at the school looked like something out of Glee, and all the action scenes took place in ugly, smeary nightime shots.

It looked like a generic Twilight wannabe

Visually, I find TASM to one of the ugliest Spider-Man films.

You and him are not the first two I see to think that way. I've watched the school fight again just now to see how much I might agree with you, and while the animation looks a bit choppy at one or two shots and the Lizard doesn't look as realistic as I remember it is still far more visually pleasing than making me want to side with your view of it.

When I watch the movie I don't adjust the brightness in any way, everything looks clear and easy to follow, night time action doesn't mask anything cause it's all well lit.

But eehhhh, some things are just can't avoid holding on to their negative reputations, so I'll leave it to to-may-to to-mah-to.

I enjoyed the action sequences in HoCo and FFH, but I still wish Feige didn't rely so heavily on CGI. I understand that practical effects are time-consuming and costly, but I think that the MCU's action scenes could be so much more distinctive and less workmanlike if they were used more.

I agree the darkened filter isn't the best but I definitely like the visuals of TASM.

They really captured New York By Night, added in with a little bit of futurism.

I will concede that the web-swinging scenes in the TASM films are great. Spidey's suit in TASM2 is basically perfect. How they managed to get those right and literally nothing else is mind boggling.

Seeing the TASM 1 suit in action during the daytime in the recent game seemed weird, then it occurred to me that's because we never really see Spidey during the broad daylight in the first TASM movie. That suit was definitely made with night scenes in mind.

I think with TASM its more quality over quantity. they really put alot of effort into the background and the weight. there is alot of weight behind the movements

I forgot how Spider like he moves. Thin and nimble which really contrasts with Maguire's more muscular "traditional superhero" Spidey.

Oddly the TASM suit actually looks really good in the recent video game. i think its mostly the texture of the suit that really holds up well in CGI and makes it look very crisp compared to the other suits. much better than the marvel movies suit that was made to work in CGI.

If I didn't know better I would think that the school scene was from a movie that came out in 2001. The Raimi trilogy is almost 20 years old and still looks less dated than this. You can complain about the MCU films' over-reliance on CGI but at least it looks contemporary.

See, I like the use of practical effects here, but it's cancelled out by that hideous suit and cinematography.

It's partially my ever-forgiving brain, but I appreciated that most of the least realistic looking moments weren't supposed to fully be reality. Felt like a bit of a smart cheat to me.

While we're on the topic of designs, what's your ideal Rhino redesign? I think the robo suit is gonna stay unless they're planning on using CGI and mo cap to make Paul Giamatti 8 feet tall and muscular. I think Deadpool 2 did something similar with Juggernaut, and I wouldn't be opposed to that in NWH. If they're sticking with the exo skeleton, then they need to make it a hell of a lot sleeker and put a face on it.

While I like the classic Rhino design look, I agree they are probably gonna keep the mech/robot suit. If they can sleek down the suit, loose the guns/missiles and keep it looking somewhat similar to the Ultimate design, I'd be fine with at.
