no wolverine in a cage?

in x-men 3 wolverine talks about being in a cage. "when you cage the beast,sometimes the beast gets angry"

in some of the promo photos we see wolverine with his claws crossed in what seems to be a cage looking up at a light.

does anybody think this will show up in the film with the reshoots? so far it seems like these photos were just to tease us. however i have a theory it may show up in the final analysis as a decent scene. i know where it could fit. but i could be wrong.

It would have to be an adamantium cage to hold him. I don't think Stryker has that much adamantium on him.

the caging the beast line in x3 was a metaphor used towards xavier containing jeans powers (and consequently part of her mind) it wasnt a direct referrence to himself. even if he had been litearally caged its not like hed remember anyways

Nah I think that's one the cages where Stryker holds the Weapon X mutant prisonniers.

those are IMO the same cages where the young mutans are.
they added some smoke and made some promo pics for promotion.

well from what we have all SEEN. i'm thinking that there's a place for a scene such as this in the final version.

maybe there is a scene where wolverine gets CAGED is in a cage looking up at a light and he goes beserk and escapes and then confronts victor creed and battles him in the lab. HOPEFULLY the final battle scene between creed and logan is LONGER!!!

remember in the x men 3 commentary where brett ratner is joking about the editing of x men 3. where wolverine's coat dissapears and he is all the sudden wearing a tanktop. its a very very minor boo boo in the editing. its not really a bad edit at all. just a minor boo boo. don't get me wrong i personally love x men 3. but from what we have SEEN the samething happens in this movie only worse.

i really hope that the theatrical version of the movie really as good as the trailers made it out to be. so far i'm intrigued but not impressed!

What's funny is that edit never happened the way it's described in the commentary.

What Kinberg and Penn (it's them giving that particular commentary, not Ratner) say is the sleeve of his jacket is really the watch wristband thing that he's wearing. You clearly see it in later shots of him in the woods. It's not the jacket sleeve by any means.

It's not an editing boo boo at all.

its not. it can not be. he has hes new claws. in the pics he has jeans on.

well i'm not trying to encourage looking at the leaked edition. but basically we see logan wearing a red flannel shirt he walks out of the room saddenedand heartbroken. then there's a cut to the scream then all the sudden there he is back inside the room way far behind creed in a tank top no red flannel shirt. ready for battle.

so his tank top and jeans look w/ the claws in the photos is consistent with the 3rd act of the film where he does battle.

my theory is in the final cut when he arrives at the island he gets caged somehow. and after he learns the truth he goes nuts and escapes the cage. he goes into berserk mode escapes and finally makes it up to the lab and he battles creed. hopefully the battle will be longer. it was great but too damn short and sped up.
