The Amazing Spider-Man Nolanize the Spider-Man Universe

Do NOT make this new franchise BATMAN like. That's why the third on failed to fans.

well, easy:

ORIGIN

peter parker was bitten by a spider in a school-trip, and was in chemo and comatose for 4 months. when he woke up, he felt bad for his uncle and aunt, and tried to get the number of dollars his treatment cost by training to wrestle and wrestling for money using hidden bras knuckles in his costumes and some protection cleverly hidden in his home-made "bag-man" costume. after he doesn't stops a mugger because it's "not his business", the mugger, when he flees, ran over uncle ben. spider-man confronted the mugger but the criminal had a heart attack and he died. thus, the spider-man was born.

VILLAINS

Dr. Octopus: a disgraced physichist who got fired after his experiment malfunctioned, so Otto kills him and tries to re-create the experiment. he gets arrested, of course, but when he's escorted, still wearing the headwear that controlls 4 metal apendages he uses for the experiment, he escapes, tries again in his own basement with almost no budet, it explodes, and his spine is dying because it's bonded to the appendages harness. he tries to get bpne marrow by busting into hospitals and trying to steal them, and later on, understanding he has nowhere to go, so he decides to die but take everyone donw with him. spider-man, of course, beats him up, so he upgrades his arms and goes berserk, even kidnapping the UK ambassador and threatens spider-man that he will kill him if spider-man does not surrender and take off his mask in public. spider-man wears a double mask and fools octavius, and fights with him on the rooftops, with ock being defeated when he crashes into a generator anf flls with it to a lake. not dead, but defeated...

-Electro

Max Dillon was a handyman working at oscorp. there was a cable problem in some electrical experiment, and when Dillon tried to fix it, his body accidently absorbed the electricity and he was presumed dead, oscorp throwing his body to the street. he becomes angered and learns of his powers when he accidently kills a shop owner after he tries to steal a respiratory gas-mask. he becomes more paranoid and angry, with weird bolt-like scars all over his body, he tries to take a hitman and bodyguard job for wilson fisk, the kingpin of the NY underworld. spider-man breaks into the kingpin's penthouse after he finds a connection between the mugger who killed his uncle and fisk, and electro fries him. dillon later abandons fisk and goes mad with power, trying to "absorb" the electricity from the powerline company, not thinking about the fact he'd probably get fried. spider-man shows up and electro fights him, manipulating the vast amounts of electricity around him. spider-man actually electrouts him (as he got powers from some oscorp experiment, not an actual powerline or something like that) and electro's sent to jail.

IDK, these are actually parts from a script i'm writing for the reboot, why? because i want to practise scriptwriting and because i'm bored, but yeah, this is what a realistic, not neccesarily darker an grittier, spider-film could look like...

....uncle ben gets ran over?....then the criminal has a heart attack and dies after the accident? lol...................wow thought ive seen it all....hahahahaha

I don't know if this counts as "Nolanized" but a logical progression of villains would be good. Its traditional for a superhero series to start off with the hero's main enemy. (Batman 89 started with Joker, Spider-Man started with the Green Goblin.) While that may be what people want to see, it means that the series may get progressively weaker as the villains become less of a threat.

I like what Brian Singer did with X-Men. Just because Magneto was defeated at the end of the first film, doesn't mean he has to go away. We saw how Magneto was so dangerous to the X-Men, because he was a continual threat to them through the series. That was my problem with the original Batman series: it was too episodic. In Batman Returns, there should have been some kind of aftermath of the Joker's attack. There was no sense of continuation. BR might as well have been a reboot.

I agree. As much as I liked BR, it felt to me that Penguin and Catwoman weren't a greater threat than Joker was.

And that's what I fear about Nolan's Joker-less third Batman.

yeah i fear this as well...of course i would love a further look into batman and him stuggling between wayne and being the bat...and the villian playing a great role but the main focus on batman again...it doesnt have to be more epic than the dark knight...it just has to be an amazing ending to the trilogy imo

and i also agree hobgoblin about a villian remaining a threat movie by movie...and i believe doc ock would be perfect for that

Ock would be a good choice but I'm more of a Goblin fan. :gg: :bomb:

me too ;)
actually you could use both and have this trilogy be the two most threatening coming back...ock be the first villian...have him get arrested and osborn becomes the goblin at the end of the first...have peter start his relationship with gwen in the second...but has mj playfully flirting with him...and have to take on gobby...of course have the fate of gwen occur which leads to gg's death as well...and you could even have ock come back in the 3rd one...i mean you could go anywhere with the story...just rambling
haha the third one is what he meant i suppose :oldrazz:

I wrote out a very brief outline of how I'd like to see the series play out a while ago that seemed to get some positive feedback here. I cant remember exactly how it went, but it was something like this:

Spider-Man 1
Peter is in high school and has a crush on Gwen Stacy, a girl from another high school. Harry doesnt like Peter and Harry goes to Gwen's school. He and Gwen meet at the science exhibit that gives him his powers, which is run by Otto Octavius. Otto is an arrogant SOB, who hates wasting his time on a "simple radiation demonstration" for students. His exasperation leads to the explosion, which creates both Ock and Spider-Man. Ock loses his job from the incident and wants to prove himself. Norman is introduced, and he is much more cruel to Harry than in Sam's movie. I can see Harry mouthing off to Norman and getting a hard slap or punch for it. Even here, we can see that Norm is a ruthless business man. Otto's scheme comes right out of ASM 3, trying to take over a nuclear reactor. Ock disappears.

Spider-Man 2
Norman takes the Goblin Formula and becomes the Goblin. The formula has made him paranoid, and he sees threats everywhere. When the Goblin attacks a rival industry, the police and firefighters arrive. Norm sees them as interfering, and starts bombing police and fire stations. All of this draws out Spidey, and his identity is quickly discovered. He and Norman play cat and mouse. I want to see the tension palpable between them. It ends, naturally, with Gwen dead and Harry, who has become friends with Peter due to Peter's relationship with Gwen, vowing revenge. Meanwhile, a shipment of technology has been stolen by the Sandman.

Spider-Man 3
An opening fight scene between Spider-Man, Electro the Vulture, who is stealing another shipment of tech. Vulture is captured and the shipment is lost under the East River. Harry, still wanting revenge, hires Kraven the Hunter to kill Spider-Man. Peter is grieving for Gwen, when Aunt May sets him up with MJ. Peter isnt thrilled with her, she seems to flighty. There are elements of Kraven's Lat Hunt and Kraven dies at the end. Perhaps Harry wants Spider-Man to know what its like to be dead, thus the live burial.

Spider-Man 4
Mysterio commits another robbery and is beaten, the cargo missing. Harry has discovered that Peter is Spider-Man and becomes the Hobgoblin. While tormenting Peter, who is beginning to get over Gwen with MJ, Harry is trying to bring the mobs under his control. He wants to prove to his dead father that he can be a man. Harry dies in the end, and his costume is mysteriously stolen.

Spider-Man 5
Doctor Octopus is alive and well, and has assembled the Sinister Six. While Ock, Vulture, and Mysterio assemble some kind of device from the stolen equipment over the past few films, the Sandman, Electro and Hobgoblin (revealed to be Jason Macendale) keep Spider-Man busy. Those three are the brawn of the Six, while the brains do the behind the scenes evil doing.

Spider-Man 6
Spidey has to use his brains against the three remaining Sinister Six, whereas in part 5 he used his muscle. Vulture is the engineer, Ock is the master planner and Mysterio is using his illusion tech to control New York.

Just a general outline, you understand.

Here's some Nolanizing.

Some parts of that stories are good but other seem more of a cartoon.
And green goblin would be cooler if he appeared in the 3rd and killed gwen stacy, mary jane should be introduced in the 2nd.

I hate how some people think "dark" will make a movie good. This reboot should be fun and gritty at the same time.

After being bitten by a genetically altered spider, Peter breaks into Oscorp & takes a very advanced battle suit that he repaints as his Spider-Man costume. Instead of webs this Spider-Man swings around with self retracting grappling hooks that are built into the suit.
:lmao::bow::funny:

Not sure I would call it Nolanizing, but in the spirit of the thread:

- More realism. For example, Peter basically has his arms ripped out of their sockets trying to stop a runaway train in SM2 and we see zero after effects.

- Peter battles superpowered villains, blow for blow, and we do not see any bruising/cuts/etc. on his face

- Less Cheeze. Take out scenes that are basically childish. For example "Film's Exxxxxtra" at such a key point as the final battle in SM3.

- Less soap-operish. The ALL about ONE girl BS needs to go. And Peter and MJ have a co-dependent relationship as described by Raimi, that ANYONE would tell them their NO GOOD for each other.. PERIOD.

- Less sympathetic villains - not realistic and takes away from the storylines/impact of the villain that should be sympathetic (Lizard)

- Do Not connect EVERY villain to Peter. Again, takes away from the storylines/villains that SHOULD be connected to Peter.

- Tell Spider-Man's greatest Arc - The Night Gwen Stacy Died.

- Do not corrupt great storylines from Spider-Man history by MAKING IT (mostly) ALL ABOUT ONE GIRL (Spidey No More. EVERYTHING does NOT need to center around MJ, and SHOULD NOT.

- Serious villains/costumes. Some things, like the Goblin from ASM would not move from the comic to the screen well, but.. what we got was a joke. And then, when they got a chance to redeem with the Goblin 2 (Harry), we got Surfer Doood. I can see TPTB saying.. Dood.. a skateboard that flies.. COWABUNNGA DOOOD.. Major Toy sales to Da Kiddos. :whatever:

- Serious Writing - "We'll Meet AGAIN Spider-Man"... "Deliver.. us from.. EVILLLLLLLLL" "and any image of Uncle Ben in Speedos.. Sheesh

- Serious motivations for a villain

- Gothic/Dark/Costume for the GOBLIN (Yes, basically listed twice BUT Damn Did I want that..)

- Funny lines via smart writing.. Not slapstick humor or slapstick cameos. Basically, make up your mind your doing a serious take on Spdier-Man and NOT a tongue in cheek one. No Dancing/Stuttin Emo Parker. Make Parker actually Dark when the symbiote infests him.

- No Cutsey Kids (related to the Damn Director or Producer or Staff or WHOEVER).. to deliver eye rolling/cringe worthy Lines.. ESPECIALLY at critical times of the film

- NO FRICKIN announcers.. telecasting final battles.. "This Could be the End for Spider-Man"... SHEESSSHHH

- Develop the rich supporting cast that Spider-Man has, as opposed to creating new characters, or changing the existing characters completely

- Stay true to characrters..

and ON.. And On... And On.....

BRAVO!:woot:

This reboot should be fun and gritty at the same time.[/QUOTE]

Exactly...spider man can be veryyy serious. Ex, gwen stacy death, back to black etc.
I believe that in the spider man's world. Background= dark/serious but Spider man ( himself) = light-y heart, fun, jokes etc.

Why do comic book films have to be Nolanized? Why not Spidermanized. Thats how it should be done.

Good point, but it hasn't happened yet on film, so it's hard for people to visualize.

But I have a better one!!!!!

Potterize this Spider-Man movie. Take the absolute masterworks of the 60's, 70's, and 80's and make 3 glorious movie translations that stick to the source material seriously!

You can only succeed with that philosophy. S-M will make a billion worldwide anyway. Sticking to truer translations will create classic movies you will want to watch over and over again, your kids and there kids will too, ala the Potter movies for Potter book fans.

See, I have no doubt my kid will love the Potter Books in the near future, and I also have no doubt he will love the movies as well.

Nolan won't hesitate to adapt the clone saga that's for sure.

Peter Parker as an 8 years old. He's staying over at his aunt and uncle's(played by Micheal Caine) His parents are away.

Some men arrive at the house and inform Ben Parker that Peter's parents are dead.

17 year old Peter(Played by Joseph Gordon Levitt) wakes up. Aunt May is calling him to get up for school.

Peter gets ready for school. He's scrawny and unpopular. He get's picked on by flash thompson.

Flashback to Peter's dad playing with him.

The movie would have more

flashbacks

A cool scene shot in Chicago

Some asian flair/element

Awesome shootout

Mob elements

How about we Stan Lee-anize the universe instead
