This is excellent news. I've been dying for 4k versions of The Dark Knight trilogy, and it's brilliant that they're now coming.

Cannot wait for a release date!

I think only Ultimate box set was worth buying for full IMAX scenes on the bonus BD. Unless Nolan decides to restore full theatrical presentation for TDK and TDKR, there's no other way to see them (unless they're included in the upcoming releases separately).

Either way, I was dying to see it remastered and I'm really happy it's finally happening. Best-looking CBMs deserve best image quality possible.
