Got some more information for Lars Von Trier's next film after Melancholia, which it's currently titled Nymphomaniac and is slated to start shooting the summer of next year.
Von Trier is currently researching the project, which will follow “the erotic life of a woman from the age of zero to the age of 50.” The film’s storyline will unfold in eight chapters. These have such titles as “The Western and Eastern Church” and “The Little Organ School.”
Considering the subject manner, apparently they're going to do two cuts of the film, one that's hardcore and one that's more suitable for mainstream theaters.

The project certainly sounds right up in Von Trier's alley but it's also certainly inevitably, an attention grabbing one with the subject of the project and not to mention together with the controversy at the recent Cannes film festival. Anyway I'm a fan of his work so I'm very excited to see what he'll bring for this one. It's interesting that it's comedic, hopefully more than what's usual in his usual films, it'll be a nice switch once in awhile.

“He (Von Trier) is really keen on doing this thing. I think that this will be a very amusing film also, very erotic but very funny also,” Peter Aalbæk Jensen commented. “I guess we have something which could generate some press attention. How pornographic it will be, that we have to see in terms of what financing dictates.”

However, the Danish auteur is reportedly planning two versions - one a hardcore cut likely to feature scenes of penetration and a softer version that can be shown in more mainstream cinemas. Despite the likely graphic sexual content, the project is understood to be primarily dialogue-driven.
