Oblivion Assistance

The Fighters Guild is the best guild of them all. Screw Thieves (you can't kill the poor?!?!?), Screw Mages (everyone looks like their head was smashed laterally by two Bibles.).

I completed the Mages Guild Quests in one Game. You become leader of the Mages in the end

ok i get it, ill try it. but when you kill someone quietly in their house, you wont have to go to jail or pay a fine and you can still talk to guards without getting in trouble?
No one can see it, you need to be in sneak mode, and it needs to be a one hit kill. If it's two hits, they don't even get out of bed, no one could possibly know...the guards will still know. It needs to be one hit.

alright thanks.
but i havent played in a while, so i forget where i can sleep. so like where cani sleep nearby?

You become the leader of every Guild after the questline is finished. Gray Fox, leader of the Figher's Guild, Arch Mage, Arena Champion, and the guy who listens to the statue for the Dark Brotherhood. The listener or something. Hahah.

In an inn? You can really only sleep in towns and in cleared out bandit camps, just look for whichever one of those is closest on your map and go to it. You can't sleep in the wilderness anymore.

can it be any sword, or does it have to be a silver sword/dagger?

Using the Oblivion stones you can enchant any weapon/clothing/piece of armor without needing to use an enchanting altar. If you want an enchanted weapon right at the start of the game, using the Kvatch gate stone is the easiest way to get it.

To answer your question, you could enchant any weapon but you are best to try and buy a weapon that does the most damage and is light to carry so a silver or steel longsword early in the game is what you should be aiming for. Just be sure to have enough soul gems and buy the soul trap spell as soon as you can.

BTW the feather spell is another useful spell in the game for low level characters. If you can buy or create multiple feather spells of different strengths or durations you can cast 4 or 5 feather spells that can work at the same time! Your character can reach an outrageous carrying capacity...great for picking up every last piece of loot.

To Kill The Ghost
How's your conjuration skill? Nothing makes a fight easier than summoning something to fight for you, or at the very least to take a few hits before going down so that you don't have to. If you don't have the conjuration/magicka for a summon, but still have a decent conjuration skill, invest in a spell with the "Turn Undead" spell effect. There are various places you can get it, but I believe the easiest is probably from Rominous Polus, in the arch mage's tower lobby, arcane university, imperial city. These will cause the undead (up to a certain level, which is dependent on what type of spell you bought) to run in fear of you, which is a great way to win a hard fight, just keep hitting him in the back until he goes down. If none of that is an option, you need to buy a silver weapon (the best defense or a fighting chance in the imperial city market district probably has them, or any other weapons and armor shop you like using) and just hack away until you kill it, don't be afraid to drink some health potions if you need too (which are found at apothecary shops all over the game, like "The Golden Carafe" in the imperial city market district, if you didn't already know). I know some people told you to get an enchanted weapon, but with the undead, that's usually not a good idea unless you're just dealing with a skeleton or a zombie. Ghosts, and especially Liches (which you'll meet at higher levels) have a tendency to reflect spell damage (like the kind caused by an enchanted weapon) back at you, which will make a lot of fights more difficult than they need to be. If none of that works, try going to the "Warlock's Luck" shop in Bravil (which is the town you got that quest from I believe) and buy some scrolls. Scrolls that summon creatures, scrolls that do damage (again though, ghosts can reflect this sometimes, so be careful), whatever you think you'll need, and try again. Also, if you do end up using enchanted weapons/spells/scrolls, remember to avoid frost effects, the undead can shrug those off, and shock isn't that great either, you want fire. The undead have a 50% or more weakness to fire depending on what creature you're talking about, ALL OF THEM, so always use fire damage against them.

Great advice.

I appreciate your assistance as well, TWHIP!

Last night I stayed behind the doorway and hit him with a bunch of Flare spells (My only Flame spell). I was able to bring him down without a scratch. Got the loot, and moved on. Later that night I took it easy and finished up the Fish Scales quest. I'm going off to do the second part of the brothers quest now in Chorral. Clearing the ogres. I'm also going to start building up my Conjuration skills, too.

Which dungeon are you in?

nevermind. i beat it, without doing any fighting. i just went in there then exited out, and ran away, 1 got killed by a cheyindal guard, and the other 2 i had left got killed rolling down the hill somehow.

Sometimes that happens. I've had to get creative and use the terrain or dungeon features at times to help myself defeat stuff.

One thing I hate fighting more than anything, and have the most trouble with is, Will-o-wisps. I'll avoid them if I can.

I CAN NOW KILL THEM.........AND PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING ELSE........WITH 2 HITS FROM 'UMBRA' (DEALS 28 PTS OF DAMAGE + MY "EXPERT" BLADE STAT).

its not a dungeon, its gutted mine

Yeah gutted mine was pretty tough. I was largely using melee weapons back when I did that area so I burned through quite a few healing potions.

I think that the most difficult area that I've come across so far is doing the Necromancer battle in Howling Cave. If the Necromancers don't charge at you and keep summoning those zombie things, you really get boxed in and are easily overwhelmed.

oh, how far away from that mission am i? it sounds really hard.

You have to be level 10 to try it, but because I was at level 18 when I got around to doing it all the Necromancers were really well equiped. Normally Necromancers aren't that tough but the room that you fight them in lets four or five Necromancers hang back and wear you down by summoning zombies. I had to reload a few time until two of them were moronic and charged me instead of using summoning spells. :O

If you want to try it, its a deadric quest mission that you can find directly west of Skingrad at the Shrine of Meridia.

So true. The only factions that don't have any kind of advancement are the Blades, the knights of the Thron, knights of the white stallion, and the order of the virtuous blood (there might be more I don't know). And your member ship in the Blackwood company is very short.

Also if your Arch-Mage, The Listener, and the Arena Grand Champion you can have 3 side kicks at the same time. Being Arch-Mage you can command an Apprentice Mage to follow you. Being Listener you can command a murderer to follow you. Being Arena Grand Champion means you can get "the adoring fan" to follow you.

Does anybody know a console command that can be used to delete/dismiss the atronach that you make in the Wizard Tower?

There is a bug where your atronach gets lost and you can't create a new one and right now I can't use the atronach altar.

Ok i REALLY need help. I got a vampire desiease and i didnt get the cure disease potion in time, so im turning into a vampire. and now, whenenver im outside my health decays. i have GOT to get ride of this and become a human again. how do i do it?!?!
