wow I never thought of Prof. Xs mind being able to appear as his old self.. thats a good idea.

Since everyone wants Gambit in their movie I decided to come up with a new X4/New Mutants pitch. Here goes:

*********

On a school campus in L.A., young Alex Summers is visited by Storm who is the bearer of bad news. His brother Scott is missing and presumed dead. He breaks down in her arms over the loss of his brother and asks if he can come back to the school now. (If you didn't catch that he's been to the school before but was kicked out.)

A cured Rogue heads home to visit her family but is shunned. She may be cured but the whole town knows she was a mutant and if they accepted her then they would become the target of mutant hate crimes. Rogue once again runs from home. She leanrs of a haven for mutants, cured and not-cured, called Genosha but realizes she doesn't have the money to go. She is evenutally captured by Weapon X who is capturing cured mutants. She learns from the lead Weapon X scientist Nathaniel Essex that the cure isn't as permanent as they thought and that her powers would more than likely return in a moment of extreme emotion like the first time. Rogue is destroyed by this piece of information but is consolded by a man who introduces himself as Remy who also took the cure and is waiting for his power to return. Other captured mutants include a Native American powerhouse name John. This is a perfect place to showcase a whole bunch of mutant cameos.

Back at the school, Alex is introduced to his classmates, Angel, Colossus, Iceman, Kitty, and Siryn, but is adamant about not becoming an X-Man after seeing what happened to his brother. He just wants to learn more about his brother he didn't get a chance to learn about while he was living because of their seperation while younger. Storm tries to convince him that with the state of the world after the war that his powers and leadership capabilites are going to be needed. He refuses to her anything she has to say.

Cut to a scene of the New York Morlocks(basically the 616 NY Morlocks sans Leech and Callisto) raiding the last Worthington Labs in New York. They're attacking because the cure killed some of their friends and family (think the Neo when they lost their powers). The New Mutants are dispatched to take care of the matter, which turns into a hostage situation similar to the incident in Munich during the Olympics, but as they arrive they realize their intervention is unneccesary. A new mutant task forces have been dispatched to take care of the threat called Freedom Force. Members of Freedom Force include Harpoon, Blockbuster, Vertigo, and Scalphunter. The Morlocks are destroyed in the process but one of the Freedom Force members is killed also. Storm and the rest of the students realize that the creation of Freedom Force is in retaliation for Magneto's attack on Alcatraz. If anything else like that happens the government is more than willin' to deal with it with deadly force.

Back at Alkali Lake, Remy and the rest of the cured mutants are planing an escape but Rogue is hesitant to join. Her argument is that how will they get past the guards with no powers. Remy's answer is if they get shot that should be good enough stress to bring their powers back. The mutants start to escape but the Freedom Force are unleashed on them their missing member replaced by Riptide.. Essex explains that only certain mutants serve a purpose and the ones he kidnapped were only meant to be test rats for his horsemen. With these killing machines under his command, and more to come, only the strongest mutants will survive and the ones who took the cure are the first to be destroyed. A girl is violently killed and the rest of other's powers come back as they watch her die. A mutant who calls himself Caliban is captured by Scalphunter and dragged off. John attempts to kill Riptide single handed but is wounded and lands on Rogue. She can't move his weight off her and sucks out the last of his life and power. Remy nearly suffers the same fate but Rogue's persona breaks through John's and she picks him up and flies off to the school for help. Essex sends his horsemen to the New York sewer tunnels where they will have the upperhand because they know the terrain. The X-Men are sure to follow them there.

Rogue and Remy arrive at the school and they explain everything they witnessed at Alkali Lake and how the Freedom Force's purpose is to kill mutants. Its being backed by a crazy mutant scientist and the governement has nothing to do with it. It's all Essex plan to wipe out cured and weak mutants. They realize that Essex goal is to eventually wipe out Genosha. Storm is adamant against sending the new mutants to take out Freedom Force before they are released on Genosha but Havok hijacks a X-Jet and leaves with the rest of the New Mutants. Storm is kicking herself for bringing Alex back to the school after the professor first kicked him out.

In New York, the New Mutants realize the scope of their fight when they come across Freedom Force except with a new member in Caliban who has been augmented by Essex. The New Mutants have broken up to search the tunnels, a bad idea, and Angel gets harpooned and Colossus gets ripped to shreds by Riptide. Havok gets into a fight with Scalphunter who teases him with the fact that his brother isn't dead but being tested on by Essex. He quips that Essex found him confused, near death, and weak but once he goes through the same process he went through he'll be unstoppable. The same goes for Alex's friends that survive the fight. That pushes Alex over the edge and he blows a hole through Scalphunter. He saves the rest of the New Mutants and takes on Essex who reveals his true mutant form pale skin and all. Havok nearly destroys him but he pulls a bond villain and escapes just in time. With all Essex's maruaders killed call this one a lost and immediatly start to help the injured. They find Colossus and help him but can't find Angel. Instead they find the same spot on the wall where he was harpooned, harpoons still intact, but with bloody stains smeared across the wall and footprints of him walking away. They lost one of their own to Essex.

Scene after the credits: A wingless Warren is wrapped in bandages on an operating table. Essex walks up to him holding a needle, simliar to X3, asking him questions about his mutantion. Warren is barely conscious and can't answer. Essex doesn't mind and injects him anyway saying that just like the cure took away powers he can give them.

Notes
-The Freedom Force is basically the Horsemen of Apocalypse and the Marauders rolled together. Angel is going to become Archangel in the next movie along with three other new horsemen.

-Sinister and Apocalypse are basically thrown together also. I'm not a big fan of Apoc so I don't really want him in any of the movies. A derranged scientist makes a lot more sense to me than a centuries old Egyptian mutant. Thats my own bias, sorry.

-Remy stays at the school after all this but is too old to become a student.

-Rogue has her Ms. Marvel powers after all this, including flight, but she got them from Thunderbird.

-During Havok's fight with Scalphunter nearly all the mysterys surrounding Essex will be revealed. He'll explain that Essex has been working at Alkali Lake since it's creation and was part of the group of scientists that sired Wolverine and the other members of Weapon X but he's moved onto bigger and better things. After injecting himself with mutant genes from the files at the Lake, he decided to recruit mutants to help him furthur his cause of only the strong survive.

*********
Okay, so we got Gambit, Sinister/Apoc, Mutant Massacre, and Havok. What does everyone think?

Sinister has found a way to drain a mutant's powers and tranfer them to himself. But Sinister needs a mutant who has the power to absorb a mutant's powers for his experiment.

On his computer he has all the mutant's that has took the cure, telling him what powers each one had.He finds out that Rogue is the mutant he needs.

He kidnaps Rogue, and gives her powers back to her. Then Sinister heads to Egypt to the burial chamber where the first mutant was imprisoned, the most powerful mutant ever.

Inside the chamber we see the body of Apocalypse. As Sinister is getting ready for his experiment,he accidently trips a booby trap releasing Apocalypse from his deep sleep.

Sinister takes off when he sees what is happening. When the mutant kids at the mansion see on the news that the city is being attacked by two mutants, they decide to go and stop them even though Storm and Wolverine are both gone.

Iceman,Colossus,Angel, and Kitty get in the X-Jet and take off. When they get there they find out that one of the mutants attacking the city is Rogue, and the other one is a 50 foot Apocalypse.

As Iceman is trying to talk to Rogue,Rogue grabs him and absorbs his powers.Kitty grabs Iceman and phases them underneath the street.

Then Rogue sees Angel flying above her, then Rogue ices up and freezes Angel's wings and Angel crashes into the side of the building and his wings smash like glass.

Before Angel hits the ground,Apocalypse catches him in his hand.Colossus metals up and hits Apocalypse.Apocalypse looks down and is about to crush Colossus with his other hand just as Colossus is phased through the street by Kitty.

As Kitty,Iceman, and Colossus are in the sewers, they decide to retreat and take off running from the scene in the sewers.

Back at the mansion the three are scared and alone, they don't know what to do.The only person they think they can go to is Magneto even though he isn't a mutant anymore.

As the kids tell Magneto everything,Magneto is more intrigued of how Rogue has got her powers back,so he decides to help them thinking that he can get his powers back somehow too.

Magneto tells them about Apocalypse, what he is,what he can do,and how there going to need his daughter's help(the Scarlet Witch).Saying that she has abilities that they are going to need if they are even going to have a chance to defeat Apocalypse.

Magneto tells them that he will have her meet them at the mansion later tonight.Back at the mansion the kids are still shaken up.Then the entire roof is ripped off the mansion and Apocalypse reaches in to try and grab one of them.

As he tries to grab Kitty, she phases through his hand. Then you hear a female voice saying cool trick. As Kitty and the others turn to look, they see the Scarlet Witch in the room with them.

1. I think that for Rogue to get the Ms. Marvel Powers, you should have Mystique in the form of an old woman see rouge and try to help her with her powers, Avalanche and Blob could be with them, after some "Shadowed Hero" breaks into Raven's Cottage she's beating the shifted Mistique trying to get answers out of her, this would force Rogue to siphon off her powers but it's too late to stop and that's how she get's the powers that we all want her to have for the movies. you could even have the reason be Rogue bursting into the school through the ceiling trying to find someone to help, when they calm her down they find out that after she left (afraid after her powers started to maifest again) that she was befriended by this strange couple of women (Destiny being the other one) adn they actually started to help teach Rogue how to slow her power since they think that it can't actually be stoped or turned off.

1. I think that for Rogue to get the Ms. Marvel Powers, you should have Mystique in the form of an old woman see rouge and try to help her with her powers, Avalanche, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch(or all of them could really be training to get Wanda out of that supervillian prison) and Blob could be with them, after some "Shadowed Hero" breaks into Raven's Cottage she's beating the shifted Mistique trying to get answers out of her(maybe she wants to save Wanda before they get to her first), this would force Rogue to siphon off her powers but it's too late to stop and that's how she get's the powers that we all want her to have for the movies. you could even have the reason be Rogue bursting into the school through the ceiling trying to find someone to help, when they calm her down they find out that after she left (afraid after her powers started to maifest again) that she was befriended by this strange couple of women (Destiny being the other one) and they actually started to help teach Rogue how to slow her power since they think that it can't actually be stoped or turned off. Which after she runs away after finally seeing the woman shift into Mystiuqe she's wandering the streets and meets up with a quiet guy named Remy who likes to play cards when he's not picking pokets to survive, the they become friends (and maybe more)

2. With everyone wanting Mr. Sinister in it, he could have cloned Cyclops and Jeans genetic material while trying to combine them (can anyone say Cable spinoff). Now people will either want the one who died in X3 to be either the real Scott or the clone (to try to slow the X-Mens training for when Apocalypse comes back, and that's why he's so distant) the clone of jean could even be called Madilyn Pryor. Cuz i'm guessing that everyone wants Scott(like Havok better myself) and Jean back. Could be after the credits???

3. With Wolverine gone (during the solo movie's time maybe, don't know if it's a prequel or what) Ice-Man or Havok could take his place on the squad. Introdue them showing the "New Mutants" a training exercise (Wolfsbane, CannonBall, Boom-Boom, Sunspot, Magma and Rictor and maybe Siryn) since everyone wants a new character on the X-team, put like Jubilee or just leave the opening for gambit from #1 if he comes in with Rogue, wich would put a weird thing towards Bobby even though he's in another love triangle w/ Polaris and Havok (she's too old for him).

4. If you wanted to say Polaris could even be a spy from Magneto or Mystique's teams (or if Prof X comes back, he knows she's Magneto's kid but doesnt' tell her cuz of her fragile state which the love triangle would add on.
If Havok's also in there that would add to more spice if at the end he joined Magneto (since a X-man killed his brother anyways).

5. For the World News part, introduce the Friends of Humanity and the Legacy Virus, work w/ #2 because the FOH would get it from a shadow player simply named Stryfe (Cable introuction in the next movie)

6. For Xavier's resurection say that he was also cloned from Sinister (#2) as a present for Apocolypse (also introduced in the next film)

7. A big battle is a must and perferably about 10 mins.

Now i know that this goes against the subject, but introduceing stuff for X5
going with the stuff that i just typed.

1. Jean and Scott make their way back to the Mansion by a rescue from Cable. Body sliding probably. He explains Sinister, Stryfe and Apocolypse

2. The Legacy Virus has killed lots. Magneto tries to find a cure from Astroid M. Haveing the Acolytes since the Brothood has failed every time. Big beef between the two. In jealousy the track down a Professor Essex who has been doing research on the Legacy Virus simply refered to as Legacy (like A.I.D.S) which their interuption upsets Apocolypse.

3. Have Cable do big talks trying to take over leadership while the Professor wonders why Cable's surface thoughts are about Jean and Scott.

4. Show Sinister testing on Morlocks that survived the massacer that he hired the Mauraders. Asking what happened to the Cajun with one of the )hopefully Sabertooth) saying that he didn't have the stomach for such "cattle butchering".

5. Expose Xavier and Marko's relationship.

6. At the end in battle show Angels wings being torn/cut off. Which after credits shows Angel jumping off a building w/ a beer bottle in his hand when one of the Horsemen catch him and bring him to the eternal one to "begin his transformation into death".

7. Marrow joins the X-Men to take down the ones her hurt her people (Sinister, Stryfe and Apocolypse)

8. At the end have Cable fed up with Xavier and his father and end up recruiting the New Mutants (#3 prev.) to form X-Force (hopfully a spinoff).

Those are just some of my ideas for right now, let me know what you think and i might post my ideas for a 6th. Which would include Bishiop, Shard, Fitzroy and the Hellfire Club w/ flashbacks of the X.S.E and the X.U.E.

Hope to hear from you guys.

Here's how I see that it could happen (Long):

1) Start off with a little scene before the beginning credits. Could be a scene of raiders in ancient Egypt attacking a group of nomads/a small village or something along those lines. During the attack, the leader of the raiders happens upon a scarred and disfigured baby. Though this infant is grotesque in appearance, the leader can "sense" the infants power, and takes it as his own. Upon picking it up, he names it En Sabah Nur.

2) After Hank McCoy was appointed ambassador, they needed someone new to take over the position. The man to get the job was a relatively unknown politician who had become aquantinces with Bolivar Trask. The man is determined, commited, and ambitious when it comes to politics. It doesn't hurt that he secretly "shares Trask's opinions on the mutant crisis." So after making a great impression upon the President, he's appointed Director of Mutant Affairs. His name is Nathanial Essex, and unbeknownst to Trask, he's actually a mutant. While Trask thinks that he has a staunch ally in his quest for mutant oppression, Essex is really only pretending to hate mutants so that he can set the stage for a war between mutants and humans, in which his true master En Sabah Nur can rise to power and take advantage of the tension and exterminate those he sees as weak.

3) Many of those who were "cured" of their mutantcy are finding that their powers are slowly coming back. The Mutant-X gene is adapting to, or in some cases outright rejecting, the cure. Magneto stays posing as a vagabond, but is actually keeping tabs on the X-Men to make sure that they are carrying on Charles' school properly. While they had their disagreements, they still respected each other.

4) Xavier is being nursed back to health by Dr. Moria McTaggart at her labs. Even the body that he had aquired from the other comatose mutant, is changing to more resemble Xavier's old body. Xavier explains that he believes that when Pheonix destroyed his body, at the instant of destruction, she inadvertantly heightened his already considerable powers, and he managed to escapes his body at the instant of death and find a new body.

5) Essex pays a mutant to meet him at a busy café which happens to be across the street from a school bus stop. While the mutant, Robert Hunter, waits the arrival of Mr. Essex (thinking that they were going to have a political discussion concerning how other countries manage their mutant populations), Mr. Essex himself is actually using his power of persuation on a couple of beat cops who were nearby. He convinces them that Robert Hunter is infact an agent of Magneto, and a mutant supremecist who's planning out terrorist actions. Of course, the cops try to apprehend Mr. Hunter who's actually done nothing wrong. Here however, Essex uses his powers again to mentally manipulate the cops into using excessive force. Essex then manipulates some of those around Hunter into cheering the police on, and antagonizing Hunter further. Hunter finally snaps under the pressure, and without even realizing what he's doing, uses his powers in self defense. He let's loose a concussive blast that kills both police officers, a few of the café patrons, and flips over a school bus across the street.

6) Of course, it goes on the news that a mutant viciously attacked several people. Essex then (without even having to use his powers) convinces Trask that the time has come to take new steps in ensuring the safety of "normal" people. Trask then (with a little help from Essex) gets the President to approve of the idea for Project: Sentinal, a project Trask had started but had let lay dormant.

7) Trask reveals the Sentinals to the public. Seven story tall programable police units that can be used to apprehend dangerous mutants, without putting humans at risk. Armed with concussion pads in their hands, the Sentinals can blast a mutant with enough force to render them unconcious or, if need arrises, kill them.

8) Trask's first target is the Xavier school, as it's known that it's housed the X-Men who Trask sees as terrorists.

9) Ororo has left on sabbatical, so McCoy's been left in charge of the school. McCoy hired Professor Emma Frost shortly after Storm left. It's Parent Night (Hank's idea to get some parents more involved with their mutant children, and learn about mutation - an idea that's gain popularity after the X-Men stopped Magneto and Jean Grey. "Knowledge is power in these changing times, and everyone should be informed as to what mutation really is. This is a school, not an orphange. Parents need to be informed as to what gifts their children have been granted." - Hank McCoy) and the mood is jovial. Not all the parents showed up, but some did, and that's a good sign. Many of the students are with their parents out on the grounds of the school enjoying an evening banquet, while some of the students who's parents didn't show up are inside the school. A platoon of soldiers arrives on the grounds, and locks it down. The are looking for the mutant terrorist group known as the X-Men. They then reveal a Sentinal that they've brought with them. They immediately move to arrent Hank McCoy under Trask's orders. When several people, students and parents alike move to stop this, the Sentinal fires a concussion blast rendering them unconcious. The situation quickly deteriorates from there, and it becomes a battle. The "X-Men" students have obviously undergone a lot of training, and hold their own against the soldiers, as the parents and other students flee into the building. However it takes the combined efforts of the X-Men, and several other students to destroy the Sentinal.

That's just a couple of my ideas. I think it's a neat idea to have Apocalypse working to create a war between humans and mutants. Just some ideas.

I really think since the cure is seemingly temporary, have part of Mystique's pardon for giving up all the info on Magneto and all that be that she will lead the Freedom Force. They could start off as a mutant police force, but they use their inside connections to stage an assassination attempt on the president.

This could bring in some aspects of Days of Future Past. While time travel itself would probably not make it in, maybe show visions of the the potential future.

I like the idea of Cyclops being Mr. Sinister's hold(being that Scott's the only one that can hurt him).
The cure was only temporary and Rogue gets so pissed that she steals someones powers for good.
The new X-men would be Storm, Nightcrawler, Iceman, Kitty, Collossus, Magma and Angel.
Psylocke and Havok are agents for Mr. sinister.
Rogue goes crazy with her new powers and the x-men try to stop her.
and towards then end they try to rescue Scott from Mr. Sinister

If Mr. Sinister as a villian in any of the sequals, that would be a perfect time to bring back Sabretooth and introduce Gambit, since they where both part of the Marauders.

Okay, this is my first post so don't hate me.
I'm sure similar ideas have been said multiple times, but here's my idea foor X-Men 4.
I would rather them make no movie than another Brett Ratner movie. I have nothing against Brett Ratner, i like his movies and i think he did a pretty good job with X-Men 3 considering the circumstances, but Brian Singer's X-Men 1&2 were phenomenal. So, i don't think it'd be likely that they'd be able to go back to Brian Singer if they made an X-Men 4, but i'm just hoping... speaking of hoping, Nightcrawler was my favorite out of all the X-Men, and it sucked to see him go, if possible he should make a return in X-Men 4, he shouldn't care about make up and whatnot.

But anyway here's the characters who i think should be (not will be) in X-Men 4:
Wolverine, IceMan, Rogue (cure didn't work, similar to magneto?), Storm, Beast, Angel, Colossus, Kitty Pride, Jubilee, Gambit, Phoenix (re-re-encarnated?), Juggernaut, Pyro, Callisto, Spike...
Here's the ones i want to return, but they would need a story behind it or an explanation because damn fox went killing them off and whatnot....
Magneto- the end scene from x-men 3 can explain that
professor xavier- the credits scene shows him in that persons body, so they just need to make up an explanation for him getting his own body back
nightcrawler- honestly i dont think they'll ever be able to get alan cumming back, but if they were to, they could just say he was praying... er something or other...
cyclops- this ones tricky, and i dont really have an answer, they could say he was never dead and jean just plunged him into the river or something
And here's the characters i don't really care about either way, but i wouldn't mind seeing in X4:
Mystique, Bishop, Apocolypse, and possibly Havok.

I'm sure i forget to name atleast a few, but oh well... as for plot, it turns out that in some cases the cure does not work, it can make mutants powers stronger, it can make insecure mutant's powers work on and off, as is the case for rogue. as for the rest of the plot, i have no idea and im getting tired....

i know you porbably read this and said "my God... that would be a terrible, terrble movie..." and it probably would, but take most of the character and give brian singer another chance and it'd be a great x men movie.

PLOT SYNOPSIS:

X-MEN: DARK HORIZON

Without the guidance and leadership of Charles Xavier, his school and his dream of human and mutant prosperity are in shambles. Mutant hate crimes are more coomon now, as well as much more brutal. Familes seperated and children abdandoned as mutants flee from angry mobs who blaim every on the planet for the San Francisco attack.

The government too has taken an active role in the persecution of mutants. A new, more strict policy set out by President Graydon Creed allows law enforcement officials to arrest mutants without reasonable evidence, warrants, even explanation. Mutants are stripped of their rights. Throughout the nation, a dark horizon is looming overhead for all of Homo Superior.

However, in each hour of darkness, there is a ray of hope. Jean Grey, a fallen X-Man, has risen from her grave once more. She is far much powerful than ever before, yet, unlike her last ressurection, she has much more control over her feral side. She rejoins the team after seeing the destruction and chaos that she unintentionally brought about.

In New Orleans, Rogue is away on sabbatical. There, she meets a man named Remy Lebeau, aka Gambit. He is a theif who often gets the two into mischeif. During a passionate moment between the door, Rogue's powers resurface and she knocks him unconscious. She returns to the mansion, confused at what is happening.

Rogue is not the only mutant who is experiencing the return of her powers. Magneto's powers have returned to him, making him more powerful than ever. Instead of creating a new Brotherhood, he and Mystique go to the X-Men for help.

At the mansion, Mystique, fully mutant now, reveals to the X-Men the government's next solution for the mutant problem: Project Wideawake.

Being pacifistic, Beast and Ororo go to a Senate hearing on mutants. They defend mutants and their rights. However, in the middle of the hearing, a mutant shoots Senator Cameron Hodge. Soldiers barge in, capturing Beast. Storm escapes, leaving to warn the X-Men.

Cyclops is found alive by a squad of soldiers and taken into custody. Jean senses her fiance's struggle and informs the team of his existence. Cyclop's has been taken to Genosha; a concentration camp for mutants.

The X-Men are forced back into hiding when mutant soldiers lead by a man named Bastion. Unbeknownst to him, he is the government's first Prime Sentinel.

After the dreadful attack, Storm sends the students home. The X-Men relocate to Muir Island.

At Muir Island, the X-Men discover Professor X, alive and well in a clone of his original body. Dr. Moira MacTaggart, an old friend, is taking care of him.

With the mansion gone and Beast and Cyclops in custody, the X-Men feel it is time to play by their rules. Jean uses Cerebro to track them down.

At Genosha, a battle breaks out between the mutants and the soldiers. Magneto shows up late in the battle, suprising Bastion. He instantly rips him apart. Jean, Storm, Mystique, Gambit, and Iceman enter the facility, searching for Scott and Beast. Inside, they encounter a protoype Sentinel. Jean's dark side reveals itself once more as she takes on the robot one on one. Ororo engages in battle with her, allowing the others to go and find Cyclops and Beast. Nearly killed, Scott gets in time to stop Jean and save Ororo's life.

Outside, the rest of the X-Men fight to the death. Angel's wings are impaled, seriously injuring him. The X-Men win the fight and leave the island.

Dr. Essex, a military scientist begins to create the Legacy Virus, his work being funded by Vice President Shaw.

Double post...sorry bout that

I'm totally against Jean coming back again. It was cool the first time and it works in the comics but please not in the movies. Cyclops and Xavier are different stories because his body was never shown and Xavier transfered his conscious. Clones, I'm personally against also. Everything else was cool. I like Essex making the legacy virus.

How about.. instead of resurrecting Jean Grey, we include scenes at the end of the movie where Cyclops meets a girl (also played by Famke Jansen, probably in a whole new hairstyle and look) named Madeleine "Maddie" Pryor and they start going out.

:O :O MADDIE!

Please please please! That'd be cool...

He's a possible theory:

Jean regains control and Gyclops is now out of it and dieing, Jean runs off to try and deal(chicks do that), along comes a shadowy figure and merely states "Quickly my son while we dont have much time" a blond man picks up Cyclops, his eyes open and a beam shoots straight into the blonde mans face but nothing happens, Cyclops mutters "....How......who are you" " Alex, my names Alex" he carries Cyclops away and the Shadowy figure turns and looks towards Jean off in the distance a Red Diamond on his forhead and says "Soon my dear Madelyne very soon" he smiles and walks away.

This could be the opening scene of X4

Indeed

I'd like a change in focus for X4. Magneto has been a great villain, but three films of him has been enough for me, and let's leave Wolverine to his spinoff film/s.

In X4 I'd have Emma Frost as the new headmistress of the Xavier school. Prof X's consciousness would be transferred into Cerebro's computer, and he'd appear as an avatar. Rogue, Iceman, Kitty Pryde, and Colossus would be carried over from X3, and would have much bigger parts. The cure would somehow be reversed for Rogue. In addition to Emma Frost, the new main characters would be Gambit, Cable and Bishop, and the plot would be a heavily reworked version of Days of Future Past. Apocalypse would be the big bad.

I think it should be another trilogy arc with Sinister appearing to be the bad guy in X4 and most of X5, with Apocalypse revealed at the end of X5 and the main villain in X6.

I'd like for X4 to focus more on the reason the X-Men exist. They've shown plenty of X-Men fighting badass mutants (k, maybe that's never "enough" ;P) and plenty of X-Men fighting government paranoia. How about X-Men fighting the everyday racism and prejudice that are the true reason they've been put together? The major theme behind X-Men is a group of different people fighting against every odd for acceptance and a life free of prejudice, not "People who pwn others with death rays and own stuff that costs millions despite holding no visible jobs".

It'd be something like this:

Human mobs start forming up in cities and lynching random lone mutants, seemingly in response to the continued threat posed by magneto, the brotherhood and the generally bad reputation the media gives mutants. People are tired of living in fear of harm coming to them by some mutant ******* and are tired of a government that (apparently) does little to protect them and even embraces some of these dangerous mutants. Hatred and fear drive these vigilantes, most of which have lost family to mutants.

The most logic course of action would be for these vigilantes to target the mutants with the most visible mutations and the weakest powers, namely morlocks and their ilk. They'd hunt them in the night, hidden in the shadows or in the crowd, and they'd shoot them, burn them, throw acid at them, run them over with cars, etc. You know, nothing super-heroic and nothing overtly military, but the kind of thing the comics show a lot and the kind of thing that shows true hatred and fear taking over people. There should definetly be a sense of overkill in their actions though, because they fight out of fear and hate (I know, I'm kinda repeating this every other sentence, lol, sorry).

Now, this doesn't = a movie without super-powers or super-powered-plots. Some faction would obviously be organizing these humans from behind the curtain, the hand that moves the pawns, driving them to do these acts of racism to provoke the mutant community and eventually drive things to all out war. Also, some of the attacks would be carried out by mutants making it pass as another act of aggression by the humans. Then *bam* here come the Sentinels to make things get really hot.

The way I imagine it, the movie would start from the PoV of a human who'd lost a family member (or the whole family, or the car, or whatever) to magneto's bridge re-engineering attempt. He'd be lured into one of these lynching mobs by a friend or someone attending the funeral, out of a sense of revenge, and we'd see this human character taking part of one or two hunts during the night. Then, one other night, in another hunt, we see one of the X-Men, infiltrated in the mob, pretending to be one of them until the very last moment. Then the cops kick in and disperse the mob before they kill their target mutant. The infiltrated mutant climbs to a rooftop and rendez-vous with the team, he reports the activity of the mob and they take off on the jet. From there on the focus of the movie goes back to the team and the story evolves on broader terms (ie: not focusing on a specific mob but rather on the bigger picture of all the racist activity and it's unknown source) while they work and fight their way to whoever's behind these attempts to start a war. Sinister, Apocalypse, the Government (again) or whatever pleases people.

Overall, a darker movie that lets shine through the real danger of being a mutant in a world of mutant hate.

id like to see the next 3 films have the 1st one with sinister and gambit, then the 2nd with genosha and the sentinals, then the 3rd one reveal that apocalypse was behind it all and have his 4 horsemen and a battle to save the world

ok, I might be remembering it wrong because I haven't seen it in years, but ya know how in the movie The Mummy there is that group that is there to basically prevent the Mummy's return or whatever... I was thinking they could do something similar to that in regards to the Askani and Apocalypse. Have a build-up of Apocalypse coming back similar to what happened in X-Men Evolution. Then have Cable (or Nathan Dayspring or whatever name he could go by) be a soldier from the Askani Clan/cult whatever they decide to make it.

Maybe the Askani has followed the rise and fall of Apoclypse for centuries, and they have prophecies of what the future will be like when he rises to power again. Again, this is just an idea, and it could get a "Cable" character into the movie without all the time travel and cloning.

i agree that cable should be in it, maybe have scott (when he comes back) go off with that clone of jean that sinister made (sorry i forgot her name), then cable apear. that would be great

I think that they should make it that there is a kind of new x-men: academy x sort of thing going on in x4, but with Emma Frost, Storm and Beast as headteachers and with loads of weird looking mutants. am i the only 1 hu thinks that the mutants in the X movies don't look strange enough, eg: leech?

If X4 is done properly, Days of Future Past would be the perfect follow-up. It could be expanded to fit into the framework of the X films. It's a classic storyline.

The only problem is if it's too complex of a plot for Joe Public to understand.

It's also a way to get in characters who've been killed off, without having to come up with some crazy rebirth idea.

If the Days of Future Past timelot split off not when Jean Grey died, but between X2 and X3, then the Days of Future Past timeline has Scott and Jean alive and nothing in X3 happened.

I'd love to see Joss Whedon write and direct it. He'd definitely do it justice.
