Atlanta used to be in the NL West so them being in the East wouldn't really make a big difference.

The way I did it is pretty accurate. There's nothing as crazy as the Cowboys being in the East. Seriously, how is a team that is almost in Mountain time in an Eastern division?

or like how the Arizona Cardinals were in the NFC East at one time?

This yankee parade of champions is beautiful

Btw, Jimmy "Eats Crow" Rollins said his prediction of the Phillies winning in 5 games was misunderstood. He meant to say the Phillies would win game 5...not the whole World Series.

Ahh...ok.. that makes more sense. Now go home NostroAnus.

So the Twins basically traded Santana for Rauch, Hardy, Deolis Guerra, and Philip Humber (who they DFA'd but no one claimed).

Rauch and Hardy make the deal better.

They also let Dye go. Won't offer him arbitration so I can see a lot of teams having interest in him.

Also, ninja can relax. Webb's option has now been picked up.

Posnanski has a disclaimer:

The following is a screed about the Yankees' payroll. If you are a Yankees fan uninterested in a screed about the payroll, don't read it. You won't enjoy it. Go out, buy a championship T-shirt, reminisce about this great team, enjoy the victory. I'm telling you: Don't read it.

As for the rest of you: The following is, I think, something that is always bubbling below the surface of baseball (when you are not a Yankees fan). I rarely write about it because ... it's like writing about the heat in Phoenix. We all know it's there, and we don't really want to talk about it anymore. But with the Yankees winning the World Series and then talking about how it showed the team's character, well, yeah, I thought maybe this once ...

My teams to look out for in each division.

Rays (will win wild card, Sox will finish 3rd in 2010, Yankees will win division)
Twins (I expect them to be in ALCS in 2010)
Rangers (Will win division)

Marlins (Will win division)
Cubs (Will win division - 2003 rematch between Marlins and Cubs...CUBS WILL BE IN WORLD SERIES)
Giants (Licecum and Cain will be aces, offense will be better then this year)

AL Playoffs:
Yankees vs. Rangers
Twins vs. Rays

ALCS: Yankees vs. Twins

NL Playoffs:
Phillies vs. Cubs
Giants vs. Marlins

NLCS: Cubs vs. Marlins

World Series: Yankees vs. Cubs

Predictions at this point are stupid. The teams at the end of the season aren't the ones that will report to Spring Training.

Rays? Marlins? Rangers? Giants? Don't bet any money on those.

EDIT: And what Kingfish said. Teams are going to make moves.
