Maybe he's not filming a movie at all. He might just be hiding from A-Rod...

I don't buy it. The Angels don't need help in the outfield, they need a starter. They're unlikely to blow their trade chips for a position of strength.Tigers sending Granderson to Angels? 11:38 a.m.
Newsday's Ken Davidoff is reporting that the Tigers and Angels have discussed a trade that would send Curtis Granderson to Anaheim.
If Granderson is indeed on his way out of Detroit, Orange County might be the best possible destination.
Granderson has traditionally played very well at Angel Stadium, with a 1.133 OPS and eight home runs in 21 career games. Granderson has said publicly that he enjoys playing in the ballpark, because of how comfortable it is to hit and play defense there.
Also, Granderson would probably welcome the chance to play alongside Torii Hunter. Granderson is not averse to playing left field and has spent some time there in the past.
I would hate to see Vlad become the enemy, but in a way it might actually be a good thing. He can mash in Texas, increasing his (already) HOF numbers, and someday the Angels may finally get a cap in the Hall. Officially of course, since it's still a sham that Nolan Ryan isn't wearing one.Rangers interested in Vlad but can they afford him? 8:20 p.m.
Talk about a perfect match: Vladimir Guerrero, the free-agent slugger who can't get enough of Texas' ballpark, and the Rangers, who want to add a right-handed hitter.
The Rangers are interested in Guerrero, according to a Major-League source. The question is whether they can afford him in the middle of their ownership transition.
Guerrero, 34, ultimately might command only a one-year deal in the range of $3 million to $5 million, plus incentives. But the Angels' signing of right fielder Bobby Abreu to a two-year, $19 million free-agent contract raised Guerrero's expectations, according to a source with knowledge of his thinking.
The Rangers also are considering other right-handed hitters, but Guerrero's prowess at Rangers Ballpark a batting average/on base/slugging line of .394-.471-.705 in 50 career games is difficult to ignore.
Motivation certainly would not be a problem for Guerrero not when he would be playing 19 games per season against the Angels, his former team.

Nolan Ryan should have never been traded to the Angels to begin with![]()

I know. We do have enough Minor League pitching to convince the Brewers to trade him, But who would be putting everything on our Big 3 and Brad Bergesen panning out, Which isn't a smart thing to do, Especially not for a guy with 2 years on his contract. But it would be fun to watch Prince in Camden Yards. The Brewers are shallow with pitching depth. If they were to trade Fielder, they would want a lot of it. I don't think the Orioles have enough pitching to give to the Brewers and still put a respectable rotation and pen together. Besides, teams that are 1 big player away from winning should be the ones to trade for Fielder, not one still rebuilding.
NEW YORK -- Florida Marlins outfielder Chris Coghlan is the National League Rookie of the Year, and Oakland Athletics closer Andrew Bailey is the AL winner.
Coghlan edged Philadelphia Phillies pitcher J.A. Happ in a close race, receiving 17 first-place votes and 105 points Monday in balloting by the Baseball Writers' Association of America. Happ, the only player picked on all 32 ballots, had 10 first-place votes and 94 points.
Bailey, an All-Star in his first major league season, was selected first on 13 of 28 ballots and finished with 88 points. His 26 saves and 1.84 ERA were the best among AL rookie pitchers, and he struck out 91 in 83 1/3 innings. Opponents batted .167 against Bailey.
Texas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus was the runner-up with 65 points, one more than Detroit Tigers pitcher Rick Porcello.
