I thought Heyward had it in the bag after every writer ejaculated over him hitting a HR his first AB of the season.

Posey/Heyward could've gone either way, not a bad choice between the two of them. I also think their playoff performances had something to do with it. Feliz, eh, sure.

Halladay wins the Cy Young. Aside from the Gold Gloves, they've actually been getting things right this year.

that is stupid move for the Marlins...To top it off they trade him to Atlanta, a division rival.

my jaw dropped when i heard what they traded him for...to the braves no less.

Marlins close to signing John Buck.

Roy Halladay wins NL Cy Young

The only second baseman in MLB history with four straight 30-homer seasons for a utility infielder and a lefty reliever with control problems.

THAT was the best they could do?!

No qualms with Halladay. He was the best from start to finish. Highest WAR and WPA of any NL starters. Led the league in CG, SO, and a league best 7.30 K/BB ratio.

Where is everybody? The Braves get Dan Uggla and the Marlins...don't get much.

Uggla is a consistent bat and glove. 30-ish homers per year. About 15 errors on average coming off an impressive -7.5 UZR season.

Uggla is better off in the AL, he can't play defense well to save his life.

They would have gotten more had they just kept him and offered arbitration at the end of next year. But then Loria wouldn't have saved 8 million bucks.

Hey that stadium isn't going to pay itself. It literally isn't going to pay itself.

Well, he already got the city to build him a stadium that will at least boost his revenues for a year or two out of sheer curiosity. Guess he doesn't even have to keep up appearances any more.

Marlins...Where the empty seats shine the most. That new stadium is going to look very quiet when empty

Whatever. The marlins bull pen is being improved so far in offseason. If starting pitching and bull pen is there, the line up doesn't have to be good, just ok.

Uggla is a ass and so is whoever traded him to Atlanta.

And overpaid for Buck, but at least money got spent on catcher...
