Official '24' Season 5 Discussion Thread!

im getting all giddy just fromlooking at the trailers. hmm do you think anyone is going to die?

I just had to pop in and rave about the episode I've just seen. I thought 24 was getting slightly predictable, but I did not expect what is happening now! Cool!

i wonder what this year's cliffhanger's gonna be. maybe david palmer's still alive? Jack gets taken by the chinks(easy guys i'm one of them)? The true mastermind is shown? could be audrey or his dad.

A great way to set up next season would be to have wayne palmer talk w/ mike about running for president.

man being the best season so far we should have the best cliffhanger to end it. wayne wanting to be president is just not good enough buddy.

Well, they should have that alongside another cliffhanger. Maybe Jack being abducted by the Chinese or something.

He's an ex-Marine? He'd fit right in at CTU.

Kiefer was on Charlie Rose once again, but the EW Editor was guest hosting last Thursday.

I didn't see all of the interview but it was a great interview (maybe not as good as last year's when Charlie went to the CTU set and interviewed some of the cast).

Anyway some things to mention:

Kiefer signed the three year deal but that could mean he would be the producer for three years, not just the star and would be fine working behind the scenes with the writers and having Jack Bauer missing/dead.

If Jack would die he would have it at the end of the season, everything has been resolved, Jack is tired, lights up a cigarette and takes a puff. Suddenly a sniper rifle's shot would take him out, you wouldn't see where/who it came from and the show would end right there.

Sounds like Europe will be the setting for the 24 movie. He went on how the fan base is big in European countries and that they'll film next summer. No actual script is done, they're still working on ideas. Also, the same crew that has worked on the show would be involved with the movie - they wouldn't bring in a big director etc.

I heard that Greg Itzin (President Logan) has signed a deal for next season's 24! That would imply that he does not die and maybe even gets to stay in power?!?!!!

I didnt like how last episode Jack is talking to henderson about how he killed people he cared about.Technically Henderson didnt kill palmer but He DID kill tony but jack only mentions palmer :/ He NEVER mentions tony or michelle.. They were just kindof forgotten about. I dislike that

I'm getting really anxious, I hope tonight's two parter rocks and ties together the season. At the moment, it's fluctuating between favourite season, and least favourite season. It had SO many cool elements, but I'm not sure they all came together into something cohesive... if tonight can tie it all together, it will become my favourite, or at least second favourite.
