The Batman: Season 5 Thread

Well here is a thread to talk about what Season 5 will hold in store for us. I do believe that WB will give us another season, as the apparant Alien finale for this season could be concluded in season 5, hence a motive to continue on. Ive skimmed through other threads regarding changes that we want made, but of what we know will not be done season as by the outlines that we have seen from WB. Basically just talk about topics here that we want also how it will be done:

-The introduction of villians- Ra's Al Ghul imo, there is already a Two Face thread but if you want to talk about him here go for it
-Possibility of the animated version of how this Batman began
-The Joker's look if he goes to the suit(I saw the thread below but just another chance)
-Bruce's romantic relations
-If Lucius Fox will be brought in
-If the team will change at all- Dick or Barbara growing out and new replacements
-Change in technology and equiment
- Possibly the end of the show as season 5 sounds like a good time(but I'd like it to stay)

from what i herd, thier wasn't going to be a 5th season. but the ideas you have could definently work for a 5th season.

My successions are
-add two face, and scarecrow to the line up of villians,
-get rid of batgirl completely or have her stop doing it for personal reasons.
-do more remakes of his crappy villians like they did for maxie zues

i agree with almost everything you say sam 298 but I would keep Robin for a while longer because he just came on and there is a lot of character development and stories they could do for his character.

I would like to see bats doing some undercover detective work.

I also wouldn't mind a sort of The batman beyond episode...

if not just to see terry cameo. A nicer batwing wouldn't hurt either...

I'd like a few episodes where the sidekicks take a backburner, and Batman has to conquer more personal stuff.

Maybe take down a mob boss that he tried to take down right before he became Batman. Have some Year One-esque flashbacks with him in the street clothes, trying to free Gotham from the mafia's corruption, only to get beat and left for dead. Then he stumbles into Wayne Manor, sees the Bat crash through his window, and becomes Batman, explaining that he became sidetracked with building up his costumed identity to the point that the mob boss escaped. Then, have him finally defeat and take in the guy, as sort of a personal victory.

Maybe show Batgirl and Robin maturing a little. I always liked their more romantic chemistry. Though their bickering at this stage is kind of amusing.

Introduce Harvey Dent, definatley. Maybe have him be a recurring guest star, verbally against Batman's crusades and vigilante ways, ala the DA in Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm. Show a little conflict for Batman to gain Gotham's trust, while protecting it. This could also have impact for when Dent could inevitably become Two-Face, since his hatred for Batman would already be established. Ethan Bennet sort of took the 'friend turned enemy' role, which is why I think they should go a different route for Harvey, if he even shows up.

I'd also like to see some characters not ever introduced in any other medium outside of the comics. Silver St. Cloud, KGBeast (Well, he made a cameo in JLU), Azreal (Maybe even do a Knightfall inspired storyline), Lady Shiva (Discounting her appearance in Birds Of Prey), and Nocturna (Tied with the Dracula encounter) among them.

Also, bring in more DCU cameos. Like Zatanna, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Blue Beetle, or The Question. Perhaps even an episode with Superman, or Superman and Wonder Woman, to play out a Trinity episode.

Ra's would be a perfect villain to be brought into the series. What if they had an arc lasting for the series finale(lets say 5 being the end) where Batman faced off all the villains and either killed or made them incapacitated them from doing anymore crime, and bring in Ra's at the very end trying to destroy get Bruce to join the league of Shadows, to somehow take over the world, but Batsy disagrees and reveals stuff about how Bruce was trained to become Batman. Somewhat spinning off of BB...would be neat.

Oh never mind, my browser only showed the top 4 threads in blue so i looked, but when I refreshed it was normal again. Silly. So any ideas on how to remove villains permantly from the story without killing?

They can have them appear regularly, then, have a mysterious guy dub "I have to go save my home planet!" on their dialogue. Then, the villain will float in the air in bad animation, and later, have a caption say " ____ died on the way to his home planet."

Or they could kill them subtly like Dick's parents. I just hope that when they do, they end with a bang.

but you have to remember even batman's villians don't die in the comics, some of them do but seriously no bad guy dies in kids animation. Robin's parents are an exception because it's part of his character.

True, but well- I would think that they need to come up with a good conclusion how Batman wins at the end OR they could end it somehow like BB after a series of unfortunate and fortunate events...to leave the audience hanging and happy that Batman has once again saved the day and goes for another one.

I would love for Superman to show up but he won't because of the Legion series. If not for the lawsuit over the name Superboy. He would have been called Superboy during the Legion series and Conner would still be alive.

Well in my mind, I believe that this series is somewhat related to the Begins theory...it's real and believable. I know it has nothing to do with Begins though. If they did bring Superman in, it would kinda suck because they used up Routh's voice talent that he uses for Supes.

Beside what's mentioned here, I'd love to see DTV (though I doubt they could do it) Batgirl become Oracle story loosely based on the Killing Joke.

The Scarecrow

Carmine Falcone and family

Characters like Dr.Phosphorus, the Spook, Black Spider and other more abstract characters revamped in solid stories.

Team ups with Green Arrow, Black Canary,Wildcat,Green Lantern (Alan Scott or Hal Jordan this time), the Question and others that Batman had limited if any, contact with in previous animated versions.

Mr.Freeze leaving crime after he falls in love with a woman named Nora, only to have him return with a vengence after her death. This way,he'd resemble the classic character again.
