i doubt jack knows anything the chinese government would like to know, or couldnt get for themselves. i think they want him tod o something the chinese cant do. they probably know what jack is capableof and so forth, i think thats why he's valubale. i mean seriously the guy's record has prep time batman all over it.

The human brain can only take so much. Seriously forget the Jack Bauer against God stuff and realize hes just a guy, he'll crack sooner or later.

He's like Jack Slater from Last Action Hero. I could see him reacting in a similar fashion if you pulled him out into the real, real world.

The Chinese government won't allow it unless the tone towards the Chinese is changed. We might get some Chinese backdrops, but it'll still be shot in Hollyweird studios.

Filmed on location or not, the new setting, new characters, new obstacles, etc would make it worth it.

If they wanted him to do something why would they have been beating the hell out of him? Even as the man in the suit walked away, the goons were getting ready to beat him again. Not exactly the way you go about asking for favors.

And I called that ending last year. I said, "this (meaning last season) should end by the Chinese taking Jack and bringing him back to China, and the next season (meaning this season) would be about him stuck in some Chinese jail, trying to get out"

I think the chinese want Jack Bauer for a deal with the US. The man just implicated the president, the Chinese can write their own check with Jack.

Have to say what a great finale, used everything from the season.

It was predictable for me. I predicted that Jack planted something in the president's effects and then I predicted that Kim wasn't on the phone and the Chinese guy who told him so was in on the kidnapping.

Great ending, though! Audrey is gonna freak!

Hey, when Audrey meets with Jack at the end the cut he had on his head-was that done by the swat team that arrested him after Logan was rescued.

..And maybe aaron Pierce with rescue jack, he did say he was going somewhere, where Logan can't get him.

..seroiusly though, do you think Aaron will be re-assigned back to white house duty since Logans out of office?

..and who do you think Jack wanted to call as he asked for his 'one phone call'?

Wow, I think this was the best season of 24, loved the ending. For all the people who were saying that his actions against the Chinese wouldn't be let to pass.

but the President dug his own grave, that was awesome.

Well maybe CTU will find out any ships heading to China. As soon as I saw the Chinese guy talk to Bauer I knew he was on his way. They could brainwash him, extract the truth about Logan (I doubt the American public will know everything), and other sensitive info. Can't wait for the spoilers in July/August.

Ok...all the speculation about Jack and the Chinese...lets speculate on some other issues...

President - Who will be the president next season? Assuming the gap is longer than a year, President Keeler's term will be over...meaning Gardener's term will be over. I seriously doubt he could get re-elected, all things considered...or would even run after being knowingly tied to the most corrupt president in history. Perhaps we will see a President Heller? President Wayne Palmer? Or perhaps a new president all together? If so, who should play him or her? I would love to see a Hilary Clinton-esque female president on 24. Or maybe Michael Douglas? I know he is a big name, but he just finished working with Kiefer on the Sentinal which was his first movie in a while. He would make a great 24 President.

Curtis - Why was Curtis entirely absent?

CTU Head - I have to admit, I thought Buchanan was giving Chloe his resignation and her appointment as head of CTU LA when he gave her the picture. I do not think Buchanan will be back in CTU next year, I think it is more likely we will see Buchanan married to Karen with a job at Homeland Security...the new director each year is a rule it seems, so I just don't see Bill back in that role. We know we WILL see CTU next year, as Mary Lynn Rajskub just signed that beefy new 3 year contract extension...but who will be running it is anyone's guess. Curtis...too much of a field man to run CTU. I would honestly love to see Chloe in charge of CTU.

President Logan - He is alive and from the sound of things not going to face any jail time for his actions. One must assume he will have some role in things to come.

Miles - I really hope that we find out very soon that he got what was coming to him.

So let the speculation begin. Its never too soon...remember, we knew about two weeks after last season ended that this one would involve David's death and Jack working on an oil rig...so info should come soon, so lets speculate before we're shot down
