I looked at the comic book issues i have with perfection in them but i don't see any clue that makes you think she's a she... I mean..he's got a thick neck for a man..and the eyes are yellow...

I'd like to mention two things.

First, while the original Hellfire Club has devolved into a glorified strip-bar, we have an actual mission. A holy one, to me.

And second, we were all brought together by one person. And in my opinion hers is the only voice that need be heard.

Same robe is the only similiarity since we've seen Vulcan's full costume and face and had him identified as Vulcan.

Whereas Perfection has been referred to as a woman (as Manic posted) etc, etc.

Okay. Your right. I searched Perfection over at wiki.com and it confirms thats its female...so... I think maybe its madelyne pryor or Jean...the question is...why would Jean be apart of the inner circle? ... -sighs- I hope we find out soon who she really is.

I'm with the theory that it's not the real Jean, but Emma's idea of perfection personified as Jean.

Jean was once part of the inner circle (black queen)... she was brainwashed though.

Clueless speculation. We're basically saying Madelyne because she's Jean Grey Lite. If Whedon can't bring back Jean, he might try at her doppelganger-turned-clone.

And then she and Emma can sit, drink tea, and talk s*** about Jean all day.

Yeah, but Maddie knows what it's like to be with Scott and always be compared to Jean... although for more obvious reasons. Also, Scott walked out on her and the baby to be with Jean, so I think Maddie is entitled to a little s***-talking.

She last featured in X-Man, and, when Warren Ellis took over, he retconned the Madelyne Pryor character out of the book by saying that for some period of time an evil-Jean Grey from an alternate universe had been pretending to be Madelyne Pryor.

So, Maddie's existence is technically up for grabs for any writer that wants to tread that muddy, backwater swampland of continuity.

Problem is, Whedon won't. He's happy sticking to more recent continuity, ie Morrison's, so I don't think we'll be seeing any Madelyne's pulled out of the rabbit's hat...


... However, Whedon is a self-confessed Ellis-o-phile...

didnt she have a brief relationship with Nate Grey. she was a psi shell who feed off of nate. so when he left, she faded slowly like a ghost or something.
