Official Batman Titles thread 2.0 - Part 4

I gotta be honest, I hated what Morrison did with Jason. And Tony Daniel before him.

The whole Red Hood arc made my skin crawl. Jason was just really...creepy. Which is not inherently bad, it just didn't feel consistent with what had came before.

I can't blame Winnick for wanting Jason to stay "on model."
Only good use of Jason in existence, as far as I'm concerned. Of course he was creepy. He was a childish loon driven utterly insane by his death, resurrection, and nonsensical blaming of Batman for all the troubles he couldn't admit that he brought on himself. Mix in a little corporate jargon and a massive inferiority complex because he wasn't physically a model Robin to begin with, and voila: genius with a side of hilarity! :awesome:

So, am I the only one seeing that Superboy's 'cape' is a piece of cloth apparently duct-taped to his back? Because I feel like that deserves more attention.

Bruce is mad at Tim so he is not giving him an allowance anymore

The Teen Titans can't afford real costumes now. They had to improvise

Wonder Girl's lasso is just dental floss painted yellow

I didn't even read the description. Hahaha, oh man.

She is a belligerent powerhouse thief. You know what that means

She is full of Powerhouse Excitement!

Mr Earle said:
Yeah, hopefully Cassie will walk through a forest and big bad wolf will eat her.

If a talking wolf saw that costume it would just tell her to gtfo of its forest and get a better costume

It looks like he's pointing at it so its possible that this hyperactive kid flash cant control himself.

He is pointing and laughing at Superboy's costume Earle :csad:

So how about we drop the Teen Titans talk and focus on some good comics, good comics like Batman and Robin #24. This issue was just huge and it's like a personal event comic for Jason because the stakes have never been so high for this man, this is the moment in his life when he has the same risks as Bruce Wayne and he can either prove himself a forever loser or show that his gun and killer doings have an edge.

The mystery woman is obvious/likely going to be an villainess that lost someone she cared while Red Hood (and Scarlet?) we're on a criminal killing spree, so now she wants to torture Red Hood, but she obviously doens't realize how huge this Scarlet kidnap actually is.

Jason got beaten by Joker and Bruce "failed to save him". Now he HAS to save his own sidekick, this is just huge for Jason. :word:

Why the hell is scarlet wearing that mask?!?!? Winnick!!!
And in other news Tim Drake is about to be raped.....

Yep didnt that fall off the last time we saw her

Might be an artists mistake though

What the what

In the newest issue of red robin, Ra's al ghuls....(sister? Dunno, relation) was about to rape Tim in order to give Ra's an heir.

I'd say the villains put a mask on her along with her costume, why would she be wearing either in the 1st place? This is sidekick murder hour.

Flashpoint happens before the insertion, wait for it. :p
Now I can't shake the image of Tim waiting for entry when suddenly a huge wave of retcon washes over them haha

It's a pretty ironic situation for Jason to be in. I really hope that he can save Scarlet in the next issue :csad:

The universe is getting rebooted and its not like one book can taint a character forever. So why the hell did Winnick feel the need to hijack one of the last issues where Dick and Damian are still together?
If a talking wolf saw that costume it would just tell her to gtfo of its forest and get a better costume
Hahahaha, that would be glorious!

"Haar... i am going to eat y... No, you know what? GET THE **** OUTTA MY FOREST!" :funny:
He is pointing and laughing at Superboy's costume Earle :csad:
He is, isnt he?

What is it with the Al Ghul's and wanting to rape guys to produce heirs?

Also, thank god the RR book is coming to an end because i cant stand Nicieza jobbing more villains to Tim. First time he wore the RR suit Ras called him "detective" and Talia wanted his child.
Gee Nicieza, how does Drake's penis taste like?

Why does the entire Al Ghul family want to taffy Tim

In the newest issue of red robin, Ra's al ghuls....(sister? Dunno, relation) was about to rape Tim in order to give Ra's an heir.

Those wacky Al Ghul's and their taffying :ninja:

It might just eat her costume to get rid of it

He is, isnt he?

Just like everyone else

Tim Drake is forced to step out from behind his keyboard when an international organization seeks to capture or kill super-powered teenagers. As Red Robin, he must team up with the mysterious and belligerent powerhouse thief known as Wonder Girl and a hyperactive speedster calling himself Kid Flash in TEEN TITANS #1, by Scott Lobdell and artists Brett Booth and Norm Rapmund.

Tim's new costume is definatly awesome, but Superboy and the rest just look... so Extreme. :p

The costumes are a little weird, but at least Tim is still around.

I do hope he gets his own title too, just seems alittle weird to not give a title to a character that can easily hold his own title.

You guys havent even read one issue of this relaunch and you re already hating it. Apart from the costume designs we cant really tell what's going on with the stories so it might be terrible but it might be glorious.

Overall, its already pretty obvious that this relaunch is mainly for the better.

JLA, Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, JSA, Geeen Arrow, etc. are all awful books currently. And all were in desperate need of new directions.

DC giving Synder, Cornell and Lemire enlarged roles in their universe is a great idea.

And most of the art teams are better than they were before too.

The only thing disappointing so far is some of the costume designs, and the unfortunate mess that TT looks to be.

All of the Batman stories are pissing on the history by "going back in time".

Tim has grown up out of the Bruce shadow and respects it more, he doesn't need to be ~17 again and annoying. Why DC, Why?

Dick has grown into a father figure, why make him an isolated hero who has the Batman shadow to worry about all over again. We got that from 1999-2009 already. Dick is better than ever, right now.

Why do we need Babs to be shoe-horned into a hero? When she already was and then became a bigger one by becoming Oracle.

Even though I was frustrated with INC., it was smart to grow Bruce into becoming and understanding his role as an umbrella head of the Batman Franchise. We have "I don't trust anyone/I am a loner/Batman is my thing" Batman for 20 years. We don't need to go back once again. If anything, we can slowly show how he reclaims his title in Gotham, while letting other grow theirs around the world.

This reboot is ****, I don't need to read one page to know that...

Im first and foremost a fan of the Batman world of DCU, and being 28 years old, and hopping on board comics back at the intro of knightfall, my first comic was actually Tim Drakes original Robin series, I think it was called Jokers Wild. I followed that with his mini series with king snake. My favorite DC character is hands down Tim, I grew up on his character, and watched him evolve. Im holding out to find out what exactly his storyline is that brings things to this point, but that costume is horrific! The Red Robin series was the best thing to come out of RIP, I really liked that suit because it was a way of bridging a gap between Robin and Batman. It made perfect sense, this crap is ridiculous!
