Scott Synder specifically stated that there wouldn't be any of Batman's history erased.

Which is kinda confusing, but he said they would be totally respectful to all of Batman's past stories.

Yeah, Snyder points out that the changes won't be magic continuity changes; it'll be stuff that's explained in-story (Barbara included).

All of the Batman stories are pissing on the history by "going back in time".
They re just a bit younger. The stories and continuity remain mostly the same so post FP none of the character development will be erased.
Tim has grown up out of the Bruce shadow and respects it more, he doesn't need to be ~17 again and annoying. Why DC, Why?
He is 18 so even if he gets younger it wont be by much.
Dick has grown into a father figure,
Its your fault if you thought that Dickbats was gonna stay forever. At some point we were going to go back to one Batman, Bruce. As much as i dont want Dick to split with Damian, Robin is Batman's sidekick, so it makes sense that he would stay with Bruce.
why make him an isolated hero who has the Batman shadow to worry about all over again.
Why does he have to worry about the Batman shadow? He is his own hero.
Why do we need Babs to be shoe-horned into a hero? When she already was and then became a bigger one by becoming Oracle.
Yeah that's crap. I will simply ignore the BG book unless somehow this all makes sense and Simone writes great stories.
I will give it a chance but i m not hoping for much.
Even though I was frustrated with INC., it was smart to grow Bruce into becoming and understanding his role as an umbrella head of the Batman Franchise. We have "I don't trust anyone/I am a loner/Batman is my thing" Batman for 20 years. We don't need to go back once again. If anything, we can slowly show how he reclaims his title in Gotham, while letting other grow theirs around the world.
Have you even read the news? God damn it! :cmad:
Inc stays for another year until Morrison finishes his story. Then he's promised to leave the franchise almost the way he found it, so expect Inc to be disbanded but that wont erase the various batmen across the world who were there even before Inc (Knight and Squire for example). So just because Bruce wont be organizing them and leading them, it doesnt mean that they cease to exist.
This reboot is ****, I don't need to read one page to know that...
Apparently you just read "reboot" and made up your mind without any info whatsoever.

Saint how did you enjoy Batman and Robin #24? You gotta agree this is the biggest thing to happen with Jason since, well his return. I like how much big guns Judd Winnick manages to pack in a 3 issue arc just like Morrison managed. This is probably the best arc since Morrison to be honest too. :p

Im first and foremost a fan of the Batman world of DCU, and being 28 years old, and hopping on board comics back at the intro of knightfall, my first comic was actually Tim Drakes original Robin series, I think it was called Jokers Wild. I followed that with his mini series with king snake. My favorite DC character is hands down Tim, I grew up on his character, and watched him evolve. Im holding out to find out what exactly his storyline is that brings things to this point, but that costume is horrific! The Red Robin series was the best thing to come out of RIP, I really liked that suit because it was a way of bridging a gap between Robin and Batman. It made perfect sense, this crap is ridiculous!
That's just like... your opinion.... man.

Also, he's still Red Robin, but with a different suit, so his character development is unharmed.

Argh, somehow I missed that Tony Daniel is writing Detective. That is disgusting. They're relaunching the #2 title in the company, and they're doing it with a total incompetent. Who on Earth said "You know what would be sweet? Tony Daniel on Detective Comics #1. That's sure to be an instant classic, remembered for all time!"

This is absolutely shameful.

I haven't read it yet. I'll get back to you when I do.

Judd Winick has really rebounded as a writer recently. I'm legitimately shocked. He was awful for a while.

I thoroughly enjoyed Generation Lost, but the latest B&R story is **** . He just hijacked the book to write about his pet character, robbing us of one of our last Dick and Damian stories before they split up.

Also, Dick teams up with Jason and allows him to get armed with guns. "Sure, why dont you shoot some people to death if that means you ll look awesome in OUR book!"

I would have loved to see Franco Franscesco or the WW team on Tec#1.

I started reading Winnick when he was on Green Lantern, which I really enjoyed. His pre-OYL run on Batman was also solid. Certainly, though, he doesn't always hit home runs. I haven't read all his work since then, and he sometimes makes a bad decision (Jason/Talia) or gets carried away on his soap-box, but I usually find that even Winnick's weaker stories are adequate.

If they really wanted to wow me, they would have got Greg Rucka (fixing whatever issue drove him away from Batwoman). If Ed Brubaker wasn't under contract to Marvel, he also would have been ideal.

His GA got pretty awful. And his Captain Marvel mini was atrocious.

Turns out that we Batfans got off easy. Look at this piece of crap. Not an ounce of flow or unity to it; just a bunch of random, irrelevant crap crammed awkwardly on a malformed Superman design. I like redesigns, but this is just awful and shameful. He's 90's Superman.

I'm starting to think that Superman's look just shouldn't be tampered with.

NO they've totally ruined Superman Why does he have an armored suit . BRING BACK THE Classic suit DC .

It does look pretty awkward. It's not especially changed from the suit we know, but it seems like every change except the loss of the trunks exists solely to clutter it up and make it look uglier. his forearms look kind of like a jigsaw puzzle because of all the unnecessary seems, for example.

I dont think it's so bad. It's off-looking, but I can get past it.

I'm sure the redesign will rocket Superman into the #1 selling comic, after all, the pants have been the main problem with the title all these years.

Yeah, like I said, it's awkward. It's not so horrendous it makes me want to jump out a window or anything. But I don't find it especially good, either. If Morrison's still on a Superman comic, I'll still give that a try, costume notwithstanding.

I think it's pretty horrendous. That belt alone is just miserable; that's the sort of crap I'd expect from Rob Liefeld. The only way they'll get me to read Superman is if the rumour about Morrison is true. If not, they can't take this armour plated piece of crap and shove it.

So first Riddler gets a question mark mohawk and now Harley looks like a bad girl. :p

Yes, your right, its only my opinion, but the suit is harming his development. His previous suit had some very similar functions to Batmans suit. Growing Tim into Bruces future equal. This instead just from its concept, takes Tim back to happy go lucky teen second rate teen sidekick suit. The Red Robin suit gave him intimidation, He could cloak himself just like Bruce, and the mask hid much of his expression, now, its back out the window.

For me his last suit was a statement of who he became as a result of his history, the new one, its a decade backwards.

I actually love the nightwing suit though

Always been a bigger fan of the large bat across the chest on a bat suit vs the symbol, so that doesnt bother me. I do however love Batman Inc. so I would have preferred for the sake of keeing Bruce supreme that he kept that suit, considering they just gave it to him.

Im a huge Damian fan so Im cool with him, and he seems relatively untouched by this.

I would have much preferred a Nightrunner series than the African Batman. I feel that a lot could have been done with that considering the current climate.

As for Batgirl, Im a big Stephanie fan, so I dont want to see her go, although Im not sure she will be, and here is why.

I still think Babs is going to remain in her wheelchair, I think that her Batgirl will be a cyber version like when Tim went into the net in his series. In Batman The Return, Bruce gave her details on a Batgirl Avatar. My money is on that. A way for Barbara to fly again, without screwing it all up.

Harley looks ******ed. Deadshot looks pretty bad, too.

Also, no Catman or Bane anywhere to be seen. Lame.

Haha, I just realized they changed King Shark into a hammerhead. Why? Just... such a weird, random change. :funny:
