Didnt Tarantula kill Blockbuster while Dick watched?

Maybe? Haven't read those issues since they came out, tried to forget them.

Blockbuster was so BA in those first arcs, just swallowing bullets and letting houses collapse on him.

Also miss Black Mask from those days. The new one sucked compared to that one from late 90's to early 2000's.

Did anyone read The Target? I thought that was a fun and interesting side GN for Dick/Nightwing and precursor to Bruce Wayne Murderer?

that...sounds kinda awful.

sorry, kinda late post. was that Tarantula story any good? because it doesn't sound like it.

Nope, everything involving her was the anti-christ of comics. They might have just renamed the series Tarantula, she had more page time than Dick/Nightwing.

I remember Tarantula being around for War Games, but that's the only story I've ever read with her in it. She seemed superfluous. Or like they were trying to give Dick his own version of Catwoman in "is she good or bad? or BOTH?"

He was all about hitting on his married police captain's pants. Speaking of which, he should totally be a cop again. Nightwing could be half Nightwing, half Gotham Central.

I would totally read that. Especially if he had the cast of Gotham Central as his supportingcast

She raped him too.

On a rooftop

Devin Grayson was a fab writer but that story just made me

I liked the costume, though.

Yep her costume didn't suck. It looked pretty neat even if the character was really crummy

As we're talking about Devin Grayson, I find it interesting that her wiki entry claims that she is the only woman to ever serve as a regular writer on a Batman title (Gotham Knights, specifically).

The batbooks could probably benefit from a female perspective, now that I think about it.

Simone is going to be writing the Batgirl series so that is one more female writer

And I agree. I thought that her run on Gotham Knights was a pretty great one

Gail Simone on Birds of Prey doesn't count?

Question : Will the Batman Beyond series continue or will it get canceled in the relaunch ?

Adam Beechen is saying that Batman Beyond will be relaunched with a new #1. Although there won't be a new Batman Beyond series in September, so if it does happen, it'll probably happen in October or November.

was it even selling that well? seems like the hype around the book kinda died halfway through its miniseries.

I believe the wiki entry is referring specifically to Batman titles (which is to say those with Batman as the lead character), as opposed to bat-family titles.

New issue of Batgirl is out today and she's teaming up with the Squire :hrt:

The story looks like its going to be great. The Squire is fun on a bun and I cant wait to see her and Steph fighting crime together

Fair enough :)

What did you think of Graysons run on the Gotham Knights comic book Saint
