Thats what was originally said yes, but over time it seems like its even more so like X-Men Forever: 50% is what was originally intended the other 50% is new ideas we came up with right now.

However this Norman is not the mastermind
signs seem to be pointing to Harry but I hope not. And Norman is a clone.

Hey Enforcer, I noticed the Ben Reilly tribute website is down. What gives?

Lost tale what are they hinting at?

So what happened in the latest Reilly tale? I cannot get my copy for a few weeks. :-(

I just read it. Another Lost Tale, a low-key character-based one. Ben had quite a different look with the weird half goatee, which I wonder if is a tester to see how they could have Ben look if he were to return to current continuity. Although I'm not a fan of that type of facial hair, it did fit his brooding frame of mind well.

My only gripe was that it took place in Portland. When you consider what went down with Damon/Raptor there earlier in continuity, why would he go back? Maybe that's why the different name, but I really blame the Who was Ben Reilly arc for this quibble since that was built around the fact that s*** went down in Portland, when we already knew that Peter Parker would move there briefly in The Final Adventure, and now we learn Ben himself went back there for seemingly no reason! Editors should really be catching this stuff.

So point is, Portland really should be let go as the "random location" chosen for Lost Tales of Ben to be told in. Heck, JM has Ben say in this story that he has even travelled the WORLD - now there's some possibilities for stories. What if Reilly hit up Europe and caught up fighting the criminal empire secretly led by Osborn during that 'retirement' time, thus inadvertantly being the cause Osborn decided to return to America and incite the climax of the clone saga when he did.

Okay, I'm rambling... what I meant was, great story!

In regards to Ben traveling the world, that might have been a bit of exaggeration on Ben's part. It would be cool to see him in far-flung countries, but Ben lacked the funds to travel overseas and it's not so easy to falsify a passport and travel-visa.

In regards to Portland, who's to say this didn't take place BEFORE the events with Raptor? I haven't read it yet, so unless there's a note saying otherwise, it seems pretty plausible. And Portland's no small town. Just like New York, you could spend a good amount of time there. I agree I would like to see different cities explored. How about San Francisco or Chicago or Houston? We have had Ben in New Orleans which was pretty cool. :yay:

Good point about the world comment. About Portland, I am just basing this off that the Raptor incident was early on (due to Kaine's relative lack of degen) and in this story, he states he is not going by the Ben Reilly name anymore - and flashes back to Janine and her 'death', which seemed to happen later in the timeline. Though, the more I talk this through, the less the usage of Portland seems to bother me.

Not a fan of the way the artist drew him. I don't care about the facial hair or anything, just the way he was drawn made him look like a completely different character.

Hey guys, just updating some news on the Ben Reilly Tribute... does anyone have access to, or know where I can get the sales numbers for the issues featuring Ben last year and this year? (ASM and Clone Saga and Web)

Also, I'm going to be adding some sections for Ben products (figures, busts, statues, HeroClix), fan art, Video Games (images of Ben costumes from any of the games), and fan made costumes. Please post anything you can find here or send it to me directly [email protected].

Do a google search for Comic book sales figures. Should come up as one of the top couple of sites.

Can anyone scan a pic of Ben Reilly and his infamous goatee from the 'Web' issue? I can't get my issue for a few weeks (I work in South Korea, and have to have these comics shipped, because Marvel/DC is not popular here). I'm really curious about this look.

Not sure how my provider is with hotlinking, just go to the link in my sig, in the news section there are pictures from that issue in the summary.

I just read Clone Saga #6...promising ending for Ben, lots of twists. That is all I'll say so I don't spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it.

The same thing happened to 616 Ben. Why is everyone making a big deal?

(In regards to Clone Saga 6)

good issue, ends with

[BLACKOUT]ben alive and driving off on his motorcycle, baby may with her family, kaine mia, and harry osborne in an insane asylum[/BLACKOUT]
