Here's something I've been wondering as of recent. Since hypathetically Norman survived his death in 121 because of his ability to regenerate, does that mean that he will remain strong for eternity? i.e. is he somewhat immortal, or have an extended life? It's something that's bugged me for a bit, and was wondering if anyone could chime in if I have missed something.

I dont know if he is immortal, but the formula obviously toughened him up a lot. He was impaled and survived, blown up (in PP:SM 75) and walked away.

It seems that Deadpool may be immortal (he shot himself in the head sometime and survived) and supposedly his regeneration ability is better than Wolverine's. How good is Logan's? I'm trying to think of a scale of regeneration.

I'm thinking
1. Hulk
2. Deadpool
3. Wolverine/Sabertooth (a tie)
4. Osborn

I have no idea really. Just a guess.

Alright, I was just thinking of whether or not his regenerating capabilities affected his age. I suppose that one is up in the air at the moment.

Agreed. I don't think there really is an answer for it.

One thing I'm curious about is the ftuture of Norman. I'm just so excited for his upcoming mini series. I mean, I've always found it amazing that's he's not only itneresting and scary as the Goblin, but also as Norman Osborn as well.

I'm very upset with my library now. I requested American Son the other day and I still haven't gotten it. And it never takes this long for the books to get from one library to my library.

Is American Son any good? I saw it the other day and considered picking it up, but I was limited with my purchases and had other comics I'd long wanted.

Depends on if you like Gabriel Stacy or not, as he factors into the story very heavily. Its very much a Gabriel vs Harry story.

Side note: Just for giggles, how would you compare Norman to Lex Luthor? Two ruthless businessmen, scientists and arch fiends to two of comics greatest characters. They have a lot in common, so how do they differ? Besides the fact that Osborn actually has hair, odd as it is. :oldrazz:

I don't know too much about Lex Luthor, but I'd have to go with the fact that Norman has alter egos? Unless Lex has that as well. Don't flame me, I'm just a bit ignorant at the moment. :P

Oh, and thanks for the note on American Son. I might give it a shot next time I see it.

Compare Lex and Norman? They both have that I'm-Better-Then-You attitude. Difference is, if they fought for some reason, Norman would win because Lex is a little too full of himself...and Norman has pumpkins bombs, that helps too.

Oh, and I got American Son now.

I think any weapons aside, Norman and Lex would have a very interesting conversation. It could either be quite professional, or completely warring.

Well I finished the American Son. I love Norman, but that was a tad too f**ked up for me.

If anything is f****d up with Norman it's the Gwen Stacy thing. I ignore that it even happened.

P.S. I'm NOT talking about her death. That's the best thing Norman has ever done....

I'm sure we all know what you're talking about, and I side with you 100%. Personally, I don't allow Marvel officials to determine what a proper continuity is for me. It was the moment that Aunt May "died", but in my mind DIED, that the true Spidey continuity sort of ends. After that is when things really started to change.

I have nothing wrong with Norman coming back from the dead though, you can't keep a good villain down.

The PS was unnecessary. We all know you meant the whole knocking her up bit.

Ugh, don't remind me of that. I regret readin' that, and I rarely regret readin' any comic (I tend to give them the benefit of the doubt alot)

Where's the MIB when you need them? And it's my understanding that OMD didn't even have the decency to wipe that out.

Well crud. I guess this takes place in the "official" continuity after all. I keep thinking "If it aint broke, dont fix it."

On the plus side, they hint in the preview that the ID of this Hobgoblin will be a mystery. It may be Kingsley behind the mask and it may be Macendale. On one hand, we dont need another resurrected villain, but on the other, I dont want Kingsley to be this clown. I like that character too much. I actually kind of want Macendale to be the Jack O'Lantern again, just for giggles (if he must return).

Yes he did. Then again. Osborn and Kraven "died" from from some pretty nasty wounds too.

Nasty wounds and getting your body disintegrated are two different things.
And when did Kraven come back?

Last month, during the Grim Hunt story. This is comic book science we're talking about. There are no limitations. :oldrazz:

Isn't that the ish where Hobby fights Spidey in his new neon suit?
