so it's not what's on your birth certificate, but whatever you consider (or popular opinion)....ok then....Im a Martian....I was born in Connecticut, grew up here...but Ive always felt I was from Mars....so Im a Martian now....
:hehe:

I was thinking, one of the forum insiders mentioned not too long ago that Sam Worthington was on WB's short list of candidates for Hal Jordan. My thought being that with it looking like Campbell is going to be taking over the reigns from Berlanti, do anyone think that Worthington's stock may've gone up a bit since he was one of the finalists to play James Bond for Casion Royale?

Who else was on WBs list to play Hal?

Ryan Gosling, Casey Affleck, and Jim Caviezal were the only other names mentioned.

Such an odd group of men. Caviezal looks so much older then the other two (and doesn't really look like Hal). Casey Affleck has such a baby face, I can't picture it. Ryan would be good though.

Really? I heard he was rumored, I didn't hear he turned it down.

latino review said he turned it down on their twitter. (But I forgot which LR writer said it) It was never posted onto the actual site, however.

said he's not interested in doing a superhero film....I agree...an actor of his cailbre shouldn't be concerned with that

Sam Worthington is definitely the best choice for this.

After T4 and Avatar hit this summer, he'll be well known on the map.

Possibly a breakout star.

Isn't Worthington busy with another huge movie already? I really want him for this, but I don't see how it can happen if this movie is still supposed to come out next year.

yea both ryan and casey were both revealed to have declined the role for what ever their reasons, though since we know they were looking at them you can kinda see the types of actors they are looking for the role.

Here's another suggestion. Michael Fassbender:

MichaelFassbender.jpg

Fresh off a critically-acclaimed, starmaking powerhouse of a performance in Hunger, and all of a sudden high in demand, Brit actor Fassbender ties into the Affleck/Gosling mold of star on the rise. At 31 years old, he's about the right age range, and has a pretty good look for the role too.

Fassbender is a really good choice IMO. I can see him accepting the role if WB offers it to him.

But WB needs to announce a release date and the official cast members for GL soon. Almost all of the prime 2010 spots are booked, and WB needs at least two big summer films next year as every other studio has already. If not this month, then surely March/April.

I still think Duhamel would be a solid choice.

He also will not be very expensive and just as long as they surround him with a solid supporting cast, all would be good.

Phillippe would also be a good choice.
