He def has good presence, nice deep voice and he is extremely attractive.

When it comes to actors playing more than one superhero, I don't think it's a problem except in cases of a household name star who is very closely associated with one character, such as Christian Bale as Batman, Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man, and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. I don't think Chris Evans falls into this category. His profile is rising, but he's by no means a household name yet, and the Fantastic Four films didn't exactly have a lasting impact on the public. So one of the cast combinations that I like for Green Lantern is:

Chris Evans as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern
Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Carol Ferris
Jason Isaacs as Sinestro

John Stewart and Guy Gardner could pop up in sequels (and hopefully there are sequels), but wouldn't fit into Hal Jordan's origin story. The alien GLs should round out the supporting cast and give the film that good old GLC flavor.

I think chris evans would be better suited for flash with his witty demeanor

He'd be a good Flash, too. But I'm thinking they may give Hal more of a cocky flyboy persona than he has in the comics. Not a comedic character in the mold of Johnny Storm, but something like the character Chris Evans played in Sunshine.

Yeah, he'd make a good Flash but I could totally dig Evans as Hal too.

Totally.

He's as much at home doing the whole sarcastic wise-cracking as not. He could totally play a more serious ego-scentric Hal.

He'd be a nice foil to Sean William Scott's Guy Gardner. ;)

Given that, by his own admission, the FF films are dead in the water, I think Evans would jump at the chance to:-

1) not only be the headlining superhero in a tentpole production but......

2).... be a superhero in a comicbook movie that's actually done correctly (hang your head in shame, Tim Story - your'e about to see how it should be done)

Chris Evans deserves a chance at a good comic book role. Hal could be it. :oldrazz:

Yeah, just 'coz he was in the FF films doesnt mean he should be punished.

Their lameness was far from being his fault. :D

I wouldn't typecast an actor who has done sarcastic and comedic as Flash. I'd want someone who has some range and would be forced to do comedy who has rarely done it before.

Evans has good range beyond comedy. He was incredible in Sunshine. He really is a talented serious actor.

Would be cool to see evans as another hero, he was perfect as johnny in the ff films. But i doubt wb would want him to be gl.

Hey, you never know - Warners/DC might just see it as getting one over on Fox/Marvel.

JAK - seeing as how you're a fellow countryman;

Tell me that L'oreal skin moisturiser advert that Fox is in doesnt irritate you just that little bit.........

I cringe everytime I see it.

:D

All beauty product advertisements annoy me because they include models with flawless skin and then tell you that there is something wrong with them.
